A meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan was held today at the Ministry.
The following issues were discussed at the meeting:
Results of petrochemical sector in Tatarstan for the 1st quarter of 2021;
The consumer market and monitoring of prices for basic foods, the consumer basket in Tatarstan;
The issue of corruption prevention procedures held in the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan;
Action Plan (Road Map) for Reducing Complex Risks in the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan for 2021.

The 19th Education and Profession: Farewell Bell’2021 International Education Exhibition will once again open its doors to all visitors in its traditional format.
During the pandemic, and afterwards, many applicants from Uzbekistan visited online exhibitions, conference calls and other online spaces in order to find out information about available higher education institutions. The online exhibitions held at www.myfair.events enabled many applicants to find their dream institutions and not to miss a whole year of studying in 2020.
Visitors to the exhibition will be able to explore international higher education institutions from all over the world. Moreover, the event will be held in a hybrid format, if applicants do not have time to ask necessary questions, they will be able to receive information about the university using a QR code on the stand, as well as to contact directly the admission committee of a university.
Applicants will be able to communicate directly with official representatives of universities from the Russian Federation, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan (MGIMO, MosPolitech, BSUIR, KIMEP, KFU, and many others). Every university entrant will be able to find something interesting and choose the university in his/her area of interest, as well as get direct advice from representatives of the universities.

Sollers Ford reports April 2021 sales: 1,607 new Ford Transit vehicles were sold in Russia, up 206% compared to previous year. A total of 4,995 vehicles have been sold since the start of the year, a 91% improvement on the same period in 2020. Ford Transit sales are rapidly climbing and the figure of 1,607 vehicles was the best ever for April sales, surpassing the results of previous years by several times.
The LCV market has seen unprecedented demand for Ford Transit vehicles from all business segments and while at the beginning of the year large customers dominated, there has now been an increase in sales in the SMEs segment. Giving their preference to Ford Transit vehicles, future owners take into account such important factors as quality and reliability of vehicles, low cost of ownership, and high level of Ford Transit dealer service.
Today, Ford Transit vehicles are widely used throughout Russia to deliver mail and goods, they work in ambulance service, take children to schools, provide city and long-distance transportation and efficiently solve tasks of many SMEs.
Production of Ford Transit is established at the Sollers Ford plant in Yelabuga using the full cycle technology that enables to offer Russian customers an up-to-date product fully customised to buyers and adapted to the Russian conditions at a competitive price.
Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting today with Aleksey Chekunkov, Russia’s Minister for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic. The meeting took place at the House of Tatarstan Government.
The event was attended by Igor Nosov, First Deputy Director General for the Development of Priority Territories at the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation.
The Republic of Tatarstan was represented by Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaikhutdinov, Minister of Economy Midhat Shagiakhmetov, and others.
The parties discussed issues of cooperation in various areas, including those associated with studying Tatarstan’s experience of setting up and developing special economic zones.
Tatarstan and the Far East regions have long history of mutually beneficial partnership relations. The republic has signed agreements on cooperation in trade and economic, scientific, technology, and socio-cultural spheres with almost all Far East regions. Tatarstan exports food, tyres, fertilisers, equipment, trucks, and other products to regions of the Far Eastern Federal District as part of its interregional trade turnover. Imported products include fish, fish products, and industrial products (tools and medical equipment).
As part of organising the interaction between ministries and youth advisors to the Chairman of the Youth Government of Tatarstan, Route March, a Republic’s tourist & adventure event took place on May 1-3 near Bima settlement of Laishevsky District (Tatarstan). Around 200 youth enthusiasts from 17 Tatarstan’s companies took part in the March.
As part of the Route March, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, jointly with the Youth Government of Tatarstan, has been overseeing the Amateur Fishing Tournament among the working youth of Tatarstan's enterprises and organisations for four years now.
This year, a total of 10 enterprises took part in the contest: Buinsk Electric Networks (branch of the Tatarstan Grid Company), the Kazan State-Owned Gunpowder Plant, the Naberezhnye Chelny CHPP (branch of Tatenergo), Nizhnekamskneftekhim, TANECO, Tatenergo, the Kazan Motor-Building Production Association, the Nizhnekamsk Hydroelectric Station (branch of Tatenergo), Remdizel, and the State-Owned Research and Development Institute for Chemical Products.
Diplomas and gifts from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan and the Youth Government of Tatarstan were awarded by Industry and Trade Advisor to the Chairman of the Youth Government of Tatarstan Diana Gubernatorova.
Today, the prime ministers of the Eurasian Economic Union visited the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre as part of their working visit to Kazan. The heads of governments were accompanied by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
It should be recalled that Kazan is now hosting the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council (April 29-30).
The PMs were briefed on the advantages of the Kazan Expo facilities, on their design features as well as on the plans to use the exhibition space in the future.
The heads of the Eurasian Economic Union governments also toured the special exhibition which showcased the economic and industrial potential of Tatarstan. The display presented samples of products from republic’s enterprises: Aurus cars, agricultural machinery, tyre products, petrochemicals, etc.
OOO Energotrans is implementing the Labour Productivity national project with the support from the Tatarstan’s Regional Competence Centre in Labour Productivity.
A working group of the company has begun implementing the reference site. The reference site was chosen as the “control room - truck tractors” ligament of Motor Transport Column No. 2.
The purpose of establishing a reference site is to create workplaces with a clear example of lean production tools implementation, which would allow to eliminate losses, quickly identify and solve problems, standardise processes and workplaces, as well as to serve as an example for other sites for their further replication.
As a result of the diagnostics, it was decided to implement the following tools on the reference site: Production Analysis; 5C and Visual Workplace; Standardised Work; Problem Solving Methodology.
The Tatarstan’s Regional Competence Centre in the Field of Labour Productivity (RCC) was established on the basis of the Centre for Energy-Saving Technologies of Tatarstan under the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers as a performer of the “Targeted Support for Increasing Labour Productivity at Enterprises” regional project.
The RCC’s mission is to improve the quality of goods and services and to increase the competitiveness of the Russian economy through creating a culture of high productivity and efficiency among the employees of organisations in Tatarstan.
POZIS (part of the Tecmash Concern under the Rostec Corporation) increased its exports of civil products by 40% in the first quarter of 2021 compared to the same period last year. Today, POZIS high-tech refrigeration equipment is successfully sold in the CIS countries, Western Europe, and South-East Asia.
