On May 23, ceremonial celebrations of the Chemist’s Day took place in Nizhnekamsk. The event was organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, TAIF, Tatneft, the Mayor's Office of Nizhnekamsk, and the Kazan National Research Technological University.
Special guests to the event include Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Head of Nizhnekamsk Municipal District Aidar Metshin, as well as representatives of the Tatarstan’s ministries and agencies. Some 4,300 people took part in the Chemist's Day celebrations held in Neftekhim-Arena. They were chemical industry managers and employees, university teachers and students, and schoolchildren.
Before the beginning of the ceremonial event, the participants saw the exhibition of Tatarstan’s petrochemical industry products.
The most distinguished industry workers were honoured with State awards of the Russian Federation, departmental awards of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, and awards of the Republic of Tatarstan.
At the end of the celebrations, a concert show was held with the participation of performers, singing and dancing groups from the republic and the country.
On May 22, a delegation from the Samara Oblast arrived on a working visit to discuss the issues related to the implementation of the programme to increase labour productivity.
The Republic of Tatarstan is identified as a regional mentor for the implementation of the federal top-priority programme entitled “Raising Labour Productivity and Supporting Employment in the Russian Federation in the Period of 2017-2025”.
During the visit, the Samara Oblast delegation had a number of working meetings and visited enterprises participating in the labour productivity programme. During the working meetings, the parties discussed topical issues of industrial development, as well as productivity improvement and employment support projects implemented by the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Tatarstan Regional Labour Productivity Centre (Centre for Energy Saving Technologies under the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers).
At the Zelenodolsk Shipyard, the delegation from the Samara Oblast studied the progress in the lean manufacturing pilot project at Shop No. 8 of Hull Fittings. In addition, they were briefed on the results of implementing the projects for retrofitting and re-equipping the enterprise, as well as introducing digital design and production methods.
Today in the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, Deputy Minister Aleksey Savelchev had a meeting with the delegation of Italian companies Saipern S.p.A., Codest International S.r.l., and SACE S.p.A. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Tatarstan Ministry of Transport and Roads, TAIF, Ammoni, and Tatenergo.
The parties discussed issues of cooperation in the field of implementing priority investment projects in Tatarstan.
Today, the Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan introduced new Deputy Minister German Lerner, who will supervise the issues of foreign economic activities and the consumer market development.
Today, the delegation from Tatarstan headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived with a two-day working visit to the People's Republic of China, where a number of meetings with top officials of Zhejiang and Fujian provinces are scheduled, as well as visits to some industrial companies located on their respective territories.
The Tatarstan delegation to China comprises Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Information and Communications of Tatarstan Roman Shaikhutdinov, Head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina, Chairman of the State Committee of Tatarstan for Tourism Sergey Ivanov, Chairman of the Ak Bars Bank Board Zufar Garayev; Trade and Economic Representative of Tatarstan in the PRC Marcel Gilyazov, and others.
During the visit, the official meeting was held between the Tatarstan President and Vice-Governor of Zhejiang Province Zhu Congjiu, as well as the Tatarstan-Zhejiang business forum.
Within the Forum, agreements were signed on establishing twin-city relations between the Saby District of Tatarstan and the Wenlin City and on establishing twin-city relations between the Kukmor Municipal District of Tatarstan and the Yuhuan City, which are located in the same province. In addition, a Protocol of Intent was signed at the Forum between ICL-KME CS and Hikvision.
On May 16, the first Be Productive 360 federal forum was launched in Nizhny Novgorod, bringing together the best Russian experts and practitioners in the field of labour productivity, representatives of federal and regional authorities and enterprises.
The event will be held for two days on the premises of the Ankudinovka Technopark, as well as at the largest enterprises in Nizhny Novgorod. The forum is held with the support from Rosatom, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, and the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
The main topic of the Forum was the discussion of introducing lean technologies at enterprises.
Last year, in order to fulfil the tasks set by Russian President Vladimir Putin, a Labour Productivity project was established at the federal level. Our republic became one of the pilot regions for the implementation of this project.
From Tatarstan, the Forum was attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Almaz Khusainov and Head of Analytical Department Marat Akhmerov, as well as representatives of republic's ministries, the regional competence centre, and participating enterprises that implement the project activities.
Today, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade hosted a meeting with the members of the visiting innovative educational project Study Tour 2018 – Regional Management Experience in the Russian Federation launched by the Department of Public Administration and Municipal Management of the Financial University under the Russian Federation Government. The students were addressed by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Ildar Mingaleyev.
During the meeting, information was provided on the industrial potential of Tatarstan, including details about large industrial enterprises in such sectors as petrochemicals, mechanical engineering, defence industry, and others.
Of particular interest during the meeting were issues of imports and exports of products manufactured by the republic’s enterprises, interaction of Tatarstan with foreign partners and access to foreign markets, social and economic development in Tatarstan, and activities of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade.
From May 16 to May 17, the city of Ulyanovsk is hosting the International Investment Forum Wind Power 2018 devoted to the development of wind power industry in Russia and the opportunities for implementing current and future projects in this sector. Within the framework of the forum, it is planned to visit the first wind farm in Russia located in the Ulyanovsk Region.
The Krasniy Yar Wind Farm is a unique pilot project to create the Russia’s first industrial wind power park rated at 35 MW. The park is being built by the Finnish-based Fortum with the participation of Rusnano.
Tatarstan is considering the opportunity of building wind power stations, as well as placing production facilities for some wind turbine components. Earlier this year, preliminary calculations of wind power potential were carried out in a number of regions in Tatarstan; the terrains of the sites under consideration were examined along with the distance of the sites to residential areas, airfields, etc. Completion of wind monitoring works in the territory of Tatarstan is scheduled for June 2019.
Successful implementation of this project will allow Tatarstan to increase its own energy resources and reduce the volume of flows from other power transmission systems.
On May 15, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade hosted a regular meeting of the Inter-Departmental Commission for Appraising the Possibility of Concluding Special Investment Contracts (SPIC) chaired by its Deputy Minister Vasily Osmakov.
Within the framework of the meeting, the conclusion of a tripartite special contract was considered between the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, KAMAZ, and Daimler KAMAZ RUS that implies the development of a model range of KAMAZ and Mercedes-Benz vehicles, as well as retrofitting of production facilities.
At the end of the meeting, it was decided to support the implementation of the investment project by KAMAZ and Daimler KAMAZ RUS within the framework of the SPIC.
On May 15-16, the delegation from the Republic of Tatarstan headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov is paying a working visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The delegation also comprised representatives of KAMAZ, Tatneft, Kazan Motor-Building Production Association, Ak Bars Bank, and others.
On May 15, a round table discussion was held as part of the visit devoted to the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Tatarstan; opening speeches were delivered by Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan Albert Karimov and Hokim of the Tashkent Region of Uzbekistan Gulomzhon Ibragimov.
Representatives of KAMAZ, Kazan Motor-Building Production Association, Ak Bars Bank, Trading House TEM, etc. took part in the meeting by presenting their cooperation projects.
At the end of the round table discussion, bilateral meetings were arranged for delegation members and heads of ministries and agencies.
On completion of the visit on May 16, the delegation attended the opening ceremony of the 22nd International Exhibition Global Oil & Gas Uzbekistan 2018.
