On the eve of the 3rd All-Russian GMP Conference, a press conference was held to deal with issues of the pharmaceutical industry development in the republic. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Aleksey Savelchev, Deputy Minister of Health of Tatarstan Farida Yarkaeva, Director of the Research and Education Centre for Pharmacy under the Kazan Federal University Yury Shtyrlin, and Director General of FarmMedPolis of Tatarstan Albert Gaifullin.

The mission of the 3rd All-Russian GMP Conference with international participation in Kazan is to demonstrate the investment potential and interest of Tatarstan in pharmaceutical industry development in compliance with the Strategy for Social and Economic Development of Tatarstan for the period until 2030.

At the press conference, a new enterprise titled “FarmMedPolis of Tatarstan” was presented, which is intended to seek anchor partners and investors in the SCO and BRICS countries, shape the medical cluster infrastructure in Tatarstan, work on the regulatory framework in the pharmaceutical industry, and create a competitive environment in the republic for the development of pharmaceutical companies. In total, there are more than 1000 pharmaceutical manufacturers in Russia.

Today, the Kazan State Power Engineering University hosted a seminar on filling out the forms of energy declarations in the Energy Efficiency Government Information System and on preparing energy service contracts for public sector organisations in Tatarstan. The seminar was organised by the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, jointly with the Tatarstan Centre for Energy Saving Technologies under the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers.

The seminar was attended by representatives of municipalities, institutions, and agencies of Tatarstan.

Today, for the first time, Kazan hosted the Forum of students studying outside Tatarstan. The Forum’s participants are over 100 talented and promising students who have passed the selection. The selection criteria were geographical background in Tatarstan (a student was born and lived in the republic), personal motivation and availability of innovative ideas or projects which young compatriots are ready to offer to Tatarstan. Applications were submitted by students and graduates from the best Russian and foreign universities.

The business part of the forum implies different formats of youth involvement: networking, team building, mini-group work, foresight session, online voting, case studies, master classes, informal communication between employers and potential employees. Presentations to young audience were made by representatives and HR experts of Tatarstan’s major companies, such as ICL, SEZ Alabuga, Technopolis Himgrad, KAMAZ, KOMZ, KMPO, Kazan Helicopters, Danaflex, and Tatneft.

The event organisers are the Tatarstan Government, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade with the support from the Tatarstan Ministry of Youth Affairs, Tatarstan Tourism Development Centre, Academy of Youth Diplomacy, and the Kazan Open University of Talents 2.0.

From 4 to 6 September 2018, with the support from the Tatarstan President, the Kazanskaya Yarmarka Expo Centre will host one of the largest international events of the Russia’s oil and gas industry, the Tatarstan Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals Forum. This year the event is timed to the 75th anniversary of the commercial development of oilfields in Tatarstan.

The Tatarstan Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals Forum is an effective platform for expanding the boundaries of business cooperation between industry’s enterprises, both at the regional and international levels, promoting state-of-the-art technologies and equipment to the enterprises of Tatarstan, as well as exchanging ideas, obtaining up-to-date information on key industry topics, b2b meetings of industrial and business communities.

Traditionally, the Tatarstan Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals Forum will unite under its aegis four major sectoral exhibitions, such as the 25th International Specialised Exhibition “Oil, Gas. Petrochemicals”, the 14th Specialised Exhibition “Eco-Technologies and Equipment of the 21st Century”, the 8th Specialised Exhibition “GEO-Kazan: Geologic Exploration. Survey. Mapping”, and the 4th Specialised Exhibition of Plastics and Rubbers “Interplastica Kazan”.

Today, with the participation of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Almaz Khusainov, President and CEO of Ford Sollers Adil Shirinov, Director General of SMIT Maxim Gulyaev, Director General of Rostoner Ivan Vetriak, and Director of Russky Vosk Nikita Simonov, the opening ceremony of four new production facilities (ST-Alabuga, SMIT, Rostoner, and Russky Vosk) took place in the SEZ Alabuga. All enterprises are located in the Synergy Industrial Park.

The investment project of ST-Alabuga implies the production of passenger minibuses, freight transport vehicles, and special transport.

The investment project of SMIT suggests the production of polyurethane foam (PUF) pre-insulated pipes for the needs of heat supply and oil and gas production sectors.

The investment project of Rostoner involves the production of toners and cartridges for copiers.

The investment project of Russky Vosk plans to create a competitive domestic production of polyethylene wax.

Today, the opening ceremony of the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China was held in Kazan. The event was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Timur Samatov, and other officials.

The building of the PRC General Consulate in Kazan is located on 21, Podluzhnaya Street. The General Consulate of the People's Republic of China in Kazan became the sixth one established in Russia, said Li Hui, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Russian Federation.

In his welcoming speech, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that this is a serious step in the development of relations between Russia and China in general and, of course, the regional level should bring its complement to these relations.

The trade turnover between Tatarstan and the PRC increased by over 50% last year. According to analytical data, the main export and import trade items are chemicals and petrochemicals.

Within the framework of the Tatarstan Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals Forum to be held on September 4 to 6, the Kazanskaya Yarmarka will host the round table discussion “Day of SIBUR Holding Supplier”. The purpose of this event is the implementation of import substitution programmes, the selection of suppliers from Tatarstan, the opportunity to present products of Tatarstan companies and hold talks with potential customers.

The event will take place in the Sviyazhsk Conference Hall (Main Pavilion of the Kazanskaya Yarmarka Expo Centre, 8, Orenburgsky Trakt St., Kazan) on September 5 at 10:00.

SIBUR Holding is the Russia’s largest integrated petrochemical company engaged in the processing of hydrocarbons into plastics, rubbers, and other high added-value materials. The products manufactured by the company (olefins, polyolefins, plastics, elastomers, etc.) are widely used in the automotive, construction, consumer goods, healthcare, food, energy, chemicals and other industries.

Today, the 4th PROF Movement Youth Forum 2018 was opened in the Borovets Forest near the city of Naberezhnye Chelny. This year, a record 400 applications were submitted from 59 cities of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan, of which 200 participants were selected.

The Youth Vocational Guidance Forum titled “PROF Movement” is a unique platform to implement the vocational guidance activities in Tatarstan and KAMAZ aimed at positioning and popularising white-collar and blue-collar jobs among the younger generation, enhancing the role of young employees in the industrial development, employing the scientific and educational potential for the systematic involvement of young people into innovative development processes in the mechanical engineering sector.

The forum organisers are KAMAZ, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Tatarstan Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Protection.

The key topic of the forum this year was “KAMAZ: Yesterday-Today-Tomorrow”. Attendees may visit company's main production sites, be involved in real production processes to solve real production tasks, communicate with company’s employees, production managers, hear lectures from company’s top managers, and visit master classes for professional and personal development.

Within the framework of the Minutes approved by the President of the Russian Federation, the ASI Supervisory Board recommended that regional authorities create and send target groups for training to the University of National Technological Initiative 2035 to increase digital literacy and prepare management teams for work under the conditions of digital economy. Representatives of more than 30 regions of Russia took part in the project. The mission of the educational programme is to create a mechanism for solving governmental tasks based on digital data management.

The team from Tatarstan included representatives of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Tatarstan Ministry of Information and Communications, and the Tatarstan Ministry of Labour, Employment, and Social Protection. Educational intensive course “Island 10-21” was held on the Russky Island of Primorsky Krai in mid-July this year on the Data-Based Management track (Chief Data Officer specialty). The key task of the regions was to form regional cases based on digital arrays of information.

The submitted projects were approved and recommended by Dmitry Peskov, special representative of the Russian President on digital and technology development issues, as best practices for implementing digital economy projects.

For the time being, one of the goals of Russia's economic development is import substitution. Identifying import substitution leaders is a serious task. As of today, the National Priority Award is the Russia’s only reputable prize to the best enterprises in the country that have achieved the greatest success in the field of import substitution.

To become a participant of the Priority Prize 2018 competition is simple. We invite companies and organisations that succeeded through establishment and deployment of their own production facilities, development of new technologies, promising ideas and projects, and production of import-substituting products, goods, and services. It can be companies and organisations of any form of ownership and organisational structure, either large corporations or SMEs.

The competition events are held for the fourth year in a row. The National Priority Prize is an effective marketing tool for its laureates promoting the entry of import-substituting products to new markets and ensuring the successful positioning of their manufacturers.

The Priority Prize award ceremony, which will take place in October 2018 in the Congress Centre of the Russian CCI, annually becomes the main autumn event in the field of import substitution and in the country’s economy.
