The Germany-based IBYKUS AG is a leading IT services company in the field of information technology, which deals with, among other things, the retrofitting of industrial machine tools, integration of hardware and software. The visit of representatives from the German company took place at the invitation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan with an aim of establishing cooperation and determining an opportunity for testing the company's developments at the enterprises of the republic. During the visit, the company’s representatives toured two IT parks located in Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny, several industrial enterprises, and held a technology workshop titled “Present-Day Technologies and Digitalisation Expertise in German Mechanical Engineering Industry. Trends of Industry’s Development: Case Study of Thuringian Companies” on the territory of the Technopolis Himgrad

During the meeting with Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Timur Samatov, the parties discussed steps for potential cooperation and partnership between IBYKUS AG and enterprises in Tatarstan.

Within the framework of the three-day visit by CEO of DECHEMA Ausstellungs-GmbH Dr. Thomas Scheuring to Tatarstan, a working meeting with Deputy Minister Aleksey Savelchev took place in the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan. Dr. Thomas Scheuring is the organiser of ACHEMA, the World Exhibition Congress on Chemical Engineering, Environmental Protection and Biotechnology.

After bilateral discussions, a cooperation agreement was signed in implementation of joint exhibition projects. Signatories to the agreement were the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, the Society for Chemical Apparatus DECHEMA Ausstellungs-GmbH (in the person of its CEO of Dr. Thomas Scheuring), the Russian division of the German exhibition concern Messe Frankfurt GmbH, OOO Messe Frankfurt RUS (in the person of its Head of Representative Office Denis Ryaboy), and the Kazanskaya Yarmarka. According to the signed agreement, the parties agreed to render assistance in the implementation of joint projects by providing methodological, organisational, expert, analytical, and information support.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Timur Samatov took part today in the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the German-Russian Institute of New Technologies (GRINT). Created in 2014 on the basis of the KNRTU-KAI, the GRINT is working in a consortium with German partner universities and with the organisational and financial support from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). In his welcoming speech, Timur Samatov noted that the German-Russian Institute of New Technologies under KNRTU-KAI is a combination of traditions and innovations in the field of engineering education and is a successful example of transnational education. More than a hundred of graduates are employed at the republic’s enterprises and apply advanced expertise in their production processes.

In particular, the Council meeting discussed the issues of GRINT’s strategic development, new master's programmes, cooperation with Siemens, and the results of the first summer school.

In conclusion, a diploma graduation ceremony took place in the KNRTU-KAI for the 2018 GRINT graduates, as well as the award ceremony for the Best GRINT Teacher, the Best Foreign GRNIT Teacher and the Best 2018 GRINT Graduate.

On September 23 to 26, a delegation of industrial enterprises from the Novosibirsk Oblast will visit Kazan. Within the framework of this visit, a series of events will be held to organise business, economic collaboration and cooperative interaction between enterprises of the Novosibirsk Oblast and the Republic of Tatarstan. This would make it possible to better unleash the scientific, industrial, and investment potential in the regions, establish new integration ties and strengthen existing ones, and increase trade turnover. The visit will consist of business meetings, round table discussions, and negotiations. The Novosibirsk Oblast delegation comprises some of the fastest growing regional organisations that expressed interest in cooperation with Tatarstan enterprises.

The negotiations will be held on September 25 at 10.00 in the IT Park Conference Room (82 Peterburgskaya St., Kazan).

The visit’s organiser is the Centre for Entrepreneurship Support in the Novosibirsk Oblast.

Organisations invited to participate in the selection process are actors in the sphere of manufacturing industry. The mechanism approved under the Russian Government Resolution No. 634 of May 25, 2017 is aimed at solving the problem related to the market launch of pilot batches of equipment in the absence of references and operational experience and implies compensation of up to 50% of expenditures actually incurred for feedstock, materials and components, engineering development and design, procurement of tooling and consumables, logistics, etc.

In accordance with the updated rules for granting subsidies, organisations should have a completed page in the State Information System of Manufacturing Industry (GISP).

Just over one month left to sum up the results of the Fifty Best Innovative Ideas for Tatarstan contest and the Idea 1000 programme.

The Fifty Best Innovative Ideas for Tatarstan is an annual republic’s contest, whose main aims and objectives are encouraging innovative research activities of scientists, engineers and technicians, inventors, postgraduates, students, and schoolchildren, attracting young people to scientific research and technical creativity, promoting the use of intellectual potential of Tatarstan and Russian regions, foreign states in seeking solutions to scientific, technical and socio-economic tasks of Tatarstan.

The Idea 1000 programme for support of innovative projects is aimed at increasing the quantity and quality of high-tech start-ups of interest to venture investors, corporations and government customers, promoting the development of professional ties between technology start-ups and Russian and foreign experts, corporate customers, entrepreneurs, and investors.

The organisers of the contest and the programme are the Tatarstan Investment and Venture Fund, the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences, and the Tatarstan Ministry of Education and Science.

From September 6 to 9, 2018, the 12th international exhibition and scientific conference on hydroaviation Hydroaviasalon 2018 was held in Gelendzhik. The event was organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and brought together more than 200 participants from all over Russia and abroad.

The most successful results for enterprises from Tatarstan are the signing of a major helicopter supply contract and the issuance of a special aircraft type certificate.

The Kazan Helicopters of the Russian Helicopters Holding (part of the Rostec Corporation) signed a contract for the supply of 104 Ansat helicopters for the National Service of Sanitary Aviation (NSSA), including aftersales service agreements. The mission of the NSSA is to deliver air ambulance services following the unified standard in 24/7 format.

The MVEN Firm received a type certificate for T(MB)-500, a special-purpose aircraft for air chemical operations, from the Federal Air Transport Agency of Russia. T(MB)-500 became the first certified agricultural aircraft in the history of contemporary Russia. The aircraft can be used for environmental monitoring (especially during fire season), inspection of large industrial facilities, weather control, forest pest control, and petroleum products spill response.

Kazan saw a ceremonial event on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the TNG Group, one of Russia's largest high-tech geophysical service companies. The ceremony was opened by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. In his welcoming speech, Minister Albert Karimov noted that the company has a unique expertise of successful work in various climatic and geological conditions. The TNG Group currently participates in all commercial projects of major Russian oil and gas companies. The company is well known both in Russia and in the CIS countries, Asia, and the Middle East. Today, the Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan took part in a working meeting with the Gazprom delegation. Earlier today in the IT Park, Albert Karimov met with Head of Gazprom Department 335 Pavel Krylov to discuss options for industrial cooperation. In the second half of the day, a roadmap for cooperation between Gazprom and the industrial complex of Tatarstan was signed with the participation of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee Aleksey Miller. Upon the completion of the business programme, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, in a special ceremony, awarded the Order of Honour to Director General of Gazprom Transgaz Kazan Rafkat Kantyukov.

The Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade held a seminar on the participation of Tatarstan enterprises in federal and regional industrial support programmes.

The goal of the seminar is to introduce the republic's enterprises to the most complete range of government support programmes. The meeting heard eleven speakers being both representatives of federal and regional-level government foundations and enterprises that had implemented their financial support opportunities.

Head of Consulting Centre at the Russian Industry Development Foundation Anna Simanovskaya told about the Foundation’s support tools and presented two new programmes. In total, the Foundation is implementing 8 programmes, the most popular one being the Development Projects Programme for funding the combined costs for organising new production facilities, as well as for upgrading and expanding existing production lines.

“Our task is to convey all existing government support measures to the enterprises, guide them to participate in these programmes in order for the industry and the real sector of the economy of the republic to develop more rapidly, implementing its investment projects,” Deputy Minister Almaz Khusainov noted.
