The KNRTU today held the first meeting of the Council of Chief Technologists from Tatarstan’s enterprises. The idea of creating this collegial body, active at the Kazan National Research Technological University under the auspices of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, was approved by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov at the “Mechanical Engineering. Metalworking. Kazan” exhibition.
Representatives of leading regional enterprises in chemical, petrochemical and engineering industries gathered in the Academic Council Meeting Hall of KNRTU. They included the leaders of the real sector of the economy, such as Tatneft, Kazanorgsintez, Nizhnekamskneftekhim, TANECO, KAMAZ, Elecon, KMPO, and others. From the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, the meeting was attended by Deputy Minister Aleksey Savelchev.
Council members discussed topics related to the integration of production and education, both higher and secondary vocational, the coordination of educational programmes with the needs of industry’s enterprises. During the first meeting, the immediate tasks facing the Council were outlined. In particular, it was decided that by the next meeting the enterprises would submit their corrections on the training profiles of KNRTU students, while the university, in turn, would send proposals to the enterprises on vocational, educational, and research activities.

Today, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, jointly with Deputy Minister of Defence of Russia Aleksey Krivoruchko during his trip to Kazan, visited a new division for the production of aircraft located in one of the city’s aviation enterprises.
Company’s representatives demonstrated facilities for the development of present-day aircraft systems, including a design office equipped with state-of-the-art workplaces, equipment, and assembly production.
A separate division of the enterprise located in Kazan will continue to develop and manufacture UAVs. At the same time, the company is provided with new orders. To this end, the existing developed industrial infrastructure in the republic will be used, which will allow considering republic’s industrial enterprises for cooperation, as well as an opportunity of attracting local skilled aircraft experts. This aspect was instrumental for making a decision on choosing a location to open the division in Kazan.
Sometime earlier, versions were voiced of transferring production facilities to other regions with departure of qualified employees. In this regard, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan expressed a working position that it would organise the interaction of all concerned parties in order to retain competences in the development of aircraft complexes and ensure the development of their full-scale production in the republic.
Today, the first line of the valve manufacturing plant by the Korea-headquartered Apollo Group, one of the industry’s leaders, was opened in the Almetyevsk District.
Within the framework of the List of Instructions following the visit of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov to the Republic of Korea and owing to the full support from the Republic’s leaders, a work on creating a joint venture began in October 2016 in the territory of the Tatneft-Aktiv Technopark with the assistance from the Almetyevsk Municipal District.
Today, the new Apollo-T plant with a total area of 2,200 square metres is equipped with lines for the production of pneumatic actuators, assembly lines for control and shut-off valves, and test equipment. The plant capacity allows producing up to 7,000 units per year; its production capacity is expected to be increased up to 15,000 units by 2021. The total amount of expected investment in Tatarstan is $50 million.
The Apollo Group was founded in Korea in 1993. At present, its sales market, in addition to the Asia-Pacific Region countries, includes the Middle East, North and South America. The main consumers of its products are SK and S-Oil plants (Republic of Korea), as well as other oil and gas companies around the world. The annual turnover is about $320 million per year. The Apollo plants employ over 800 highly qualified professionals and its enterprises have a high degree of automation.
Today, a regular meeting of the Public Council under the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade was held under the chairmanship of General Director of Sportkultavtotovary Munir Gafiyatullin.
The participants to the meeting heard a report from Leading Expert of the Personnel Department Venera Khusnutdinova on the topics: “Prevention of Corruption Carried Out in the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade” and “Implementation of the Ministry’s Departmental Programme for Implementing Anti-Corruption Policies of Tatarstan for 2015-2020 in 2018”.
In addition, members of the Public Council reviewed the Council’s work plan for 2019.
Today, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade was visited by a business delegation from Turkey. The meeting took place within the framework of a two-day visit of the executives of Turkey-headquartered Alapros and Onder Akademi to Tatarstan. It was held by Deputy Minister German Lerner. Representatives of Nizhnekamsk PSEUDA made a presentation on their existing technical and financial conditions.
In addition, the parties discussed issues of cooperation in the field of labour protection and industrial safety in industrial enterprises and in the production of agricultural machinery.
Today, Albert Karimov gave a personal interview to the Phoenix TV Channel of China. The meeting was held within the framework of the visit by the Chinese delegation for investment and potential partnership in oil, petrochemical and gas industries of Tatarstan.
“For many years, China has been one of the main key partners of Russia and Tatarstan. The last year’s FTT volume amounted to more than $550 million; this year we expect further growth of this indicator, since in 9 months of this year the FTT exceeded $460 million and this is higher than last year’s figure”, the Minister said.
Last week, the award ceremony of the 100 Best Goods of Russia contest was held within the framework of the 25th jubilee conference of the Academy of Quality Problems in Moscow.
This year, 3 Tatarstan enterprises were awarded the highest prizes. The Zelenodolsk Shipyard was awarded the Leader in Quality prize. The “Electric Energy Transmission and Distribution using the Hot-Line Work Method” service provided by Grid Company was awarded the Innovation 2018 prize. Finally, the Taste of Quality prize went to the Baltasi Butter & Dairy Plant of OOO Archa for the Maasdam cheese submitted to the contest.
It is worth noting that this year a total of 134 names of products and services from 84 enterprises of Tatarstan were nominated to the federal stage of the 100 Best Goods of Russia programme, of which 43 received the winner status.
The All-Russian Competition titled “100 Best Goods of Russia” is one of the oldest and most authoritative competitions in the field of quality, which was created under the auspices of Rosstandart, Academy of Quality Problems, and RIA Standards and Quality. The project’s mission to support domestic producers and encourage them to continuous improvement of quality and competitiveness of their products.

On the eve of the New Year celebrations, a humanitarian aid was collected in the form of Christmas gifts for needy children in the south-eastern areas of Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine with the participation of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, republic’s enterprises and organisations, in pursuance of the instructions from the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers.
The Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade expresses its gratitude and appreciation to all enterprises that responded to the request for assistance in the form of New Year's gifts. Namely, these were Nefis Cosmetics, Nizhnekamskneftekhim, Kazanorgsintez, ICL-KME CS, Kazan GiproNIIaviaprom, NPO GIPO, Zelenodolsk Shipyard, ENIKS, Remdizel, Kazan Electromechanical Plant, PKF BETAR, Yelabuga Automotive Plant, and KMPO.
With the assistance from the Tatarstan EMERCOM, the Tatarstan Ministry of Education and Science, the Tatarstan Ministry of Youth Affairs and the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, a total of 6,970 Christmas gifts have been collected for children; the aggregate weight of humanitarian aid was 7090 kg.
From Kazan, the cargo will be sent by a transport company truck to Rostov-on-Don where humanitarian aid convoys are formed. From there, the cargo will be delivered as part of a humanitarian aid for residents of the south-eastern areas of Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan held a working meeting with Minister of Industry and Trade of the Udmurt Republic Viktor Lashkarev. Deputy Minister Almaz Khusainov spoke about the expertise of the Republic of Tatarstan in the implementation of national projects.
Today, the staff of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan heard a lecture on main areas of the government policies in the field of countering corruption.
The lecture was held by Robert Valitov, Senior Prosecutor of the Department for Supervision over Enforcement of Anti-Corruption Legislation at the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Tatarstan.
The event dealt with the prevention and settlement of conflicts of interests, the compliance with established restrictions and prohibitions, the need to notify the personnel department of the offers made to an employee that are associated with personal interest in the performance of official duties, other paid work, receiving gifts in connection with official duties, and other aspects.
“It is important to understand that non-observance of the anti-corruption measures can be followed by both administrative and criminal punishment”, the Senior Prosecutor said.
