Today, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, jointly with Deputy Minister of Defence of Russia Aleksey Krivoruchko during his trip to Kazan, visited a new division for the production of aircraft located in one of the city’s aviation enterprises.
Company’s representatives demonstrated facilities for the development of present-day aircraft systems, including a design office equipped with state-of-the-art workplaces, equipment, and assembly production.
A separate division of the enterprise located in Kazan will continue to develop and manufacture UAVs. At the same time, the company is provided with new orders. To this end, the existing developed industrial infrastructure in the republic will be used, which will allow considering republic’s industrial enterprises for cooperation, as well as an opportunity of attracting local skilled aircraft experts. This aspect was instrumental for making a decision on choosing a location to open the division in Kazan.
Sometime earlier, versions were voiced of transferring production facilities to other regions with departure of qualified employees. In this regard, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan expressed a working position that it would organise the interaction of all concerned parties in order to retain competences in the development of aircraft complexes and ensure the development of their full-scale production in the republic.
