A musical on ice, a Christmas tree, contests and gifts… such a diverse and colourful New Year kaleidoscope was presented for the children of Nizhnekamskneftekhim employees.

The building of the Folk Art House that hosted New Year celebrations for more than 30 years was replaced by the Neftekhim Arena Ice Palace. Here, a Christmas tree was set, several thematic sites were organised for children of different ages, where they took part in contests, read poems, sang songs, and danced.

The main gift was the musical on ice titled Snow White and Seven Bogatyrs. Nizhnekamskneftekhim, as a socially oriented enterprise, provides support to institutions for children left without parental care or facing severe life problems. On the New Year eve, the company did not leave them unattended. More than 370 children were invited to the ice show. These are students of the Mendeleev Special Needs Children School, students of the Balkysh Social Rehabilitation Centre, the Vesta Family Centre, the Raduga Centre, an orphanage, and multi-child families.

Nizhnekamskneftekhim is one of the largest petrochemical players in Eastern Europe holding a lead among domestic producers of synthetic rubbers, plastics, and ethylene. Exports account for some 50% of its total production output.

Earlier this week, a ceremonial event was held at the Kazan State Power Engineering University, timed to coincide with the professional holiday, the Power Industry Worker’s Day and the upcoming New Year.

At the event opening, KSPEU’s Principal Edward Abdullazyanov summed up the results of the anniversary year and congratulated all those present on their professional holiday: “This year has become a special anniversary for us. In 2018, a new format Technopark opened in the KSPEU. And it is very symbolic that these festive events are ended with the Power Industry Worker’s Day."

Employees and students of the KSPEU were presented with awards of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan, diplomas and letters of appreciation from energy companies.

In addition, the event featured performance by the Tatarstan Symphony Youth Orchestra led by conductor Mikhail Mosenkov.

The ceremonial opening of the Winter Town by KMPO took place at the Motorostroiteli Square. The Winter Town with a New Year tree, ice slides, and swing sets was first built on the initiative of the company's Director General Damir Karimullin in 2015. From then on, its ceremonial opening took place, which traditionally gathers a lot of people. Both the factory workers with their children and residents and guests of the Aviastroitelny District come to feel the New Year’s atmosphere.

The opening ceremony included songs, dances, competitions, gifts, and sports contests. Pony rides, downhill sledging, life-size puppets, New Year's surprises, a meeting with Grandfather Frost and Snow Maiden did not leave indifferent either kids or adults, giving everyone a vivid emotion and good mood.

After the New Year holidays, the KMPO’s Winter Town will continue its work, and everyone will be able to slide down the hills during the winter.

The development of the NGV fuel market in the republic was discussed today on the Tatarstan TV channel in an interview with Deputy Minister Aleksey Savelchev who is in charge of overseeing this area.

Under the Development of the NGV Fuel Market in Tatarstan Programme for 2013-2023, a total of 2,800 motor vehicles were converted into gas engine fuel. During the programme implementation period, some 2,300 methane-powered vehicles were purchased, and more than 5,000 vehicles were operated. In this area, Tatarstan boasts leading indicators compared to other regions.

It is worth noting that within the framework of the programme, projects for the conversion of vehicles to run on compressed natural gas are being supported through granting partial subsidies for expenses borne by conversion and maintenance centres. The subsidy amount is up to 30% of the nominal conversion costs. Drivers additionally receive a card for 1,500 cubic metres of gas (methane) from Gazprom Gas Motor Fuel.

In addition, some 800 methane-powered buses were purchased in Tatarstan. The leaders in the number of natural gas-powered public transport are Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk, Kazan, and Almetyevsk.

The development prospects in pharmaceutical and medical industries were discussed today at a meeting of the Interdepartmental Working Group with the participation of executives from industrial enterprises, representatives of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Tatarstan Ministry of Health, and the scientific community.

During the meeting, key development goals were identified as following:

- Outsourcing for creating new projects and facilities in the republic;

- Development of fine chemical production facilities for pharmaceuticals and related industries within the framework of the Science national project;

- Commercialisation of scientific developments from the republic’s specialised universities and research centres;

It should be noted that our republic has formed a structure titled “PharmMedPolis of Tatarstan” as a project office to promote the republic’s industry potential, both domestically and internationally, attract investors and generate new opportunities for the industry’s development in the republic.

Pharmaceutics is a sphere with a high degree of cooperation between Russian and foreign enterprises. The trend in the industry is towards localising full cycle pharmaceutical production in Russia, from substances to finished forms.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan hosted today a working meeting with Mohammad Omar Bin Haider Holding Group, an Abu Dhabi-headquartered investment company.

Company representatives expressed their potential interest in cooperation in many industrial sectors of the republic, especially in the petrochemical industry, aircraft manufacturing, and mechanical engineering.

During the meeting, the parties noted that the Tatar and Arab people have common cultural traditions that promote fast understanding and establishing effective communications for the development of bilateral relations.

The Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade informs all those interested that the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation announces a competitive selection process for the right to be granted subsidies from the federal budget by Russian organisations for partial compensation of their R&D expenses in priority areas of the civil industries within the framework of implementing complicated investment projects by such organisations (in accordance with the Rules approved by the Resolution of the Russian Government No. 1312 of December 30, 2013).

Energy sector is the most important activity in our country, which has a vital impact on the development of manufacturing industry and economic growth in our republic, convenience and comfort of our consumers who needs heat, light, and electricity every day. Introducing new technologies, increasing production capacities, improving energy efficiency and environmental safety are industry’s key objectives.

In Tatarstan, power industry workers annually implement projects aimed at reducing energy shortages and improving the reliability of electricity supply to consumers.

Today, the Kazan City Hall hosted the 15th award ceremony for the winners of The Best Goods and Services of Tatarstan 2018 contest. The event was attended by First Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan Rustam Nigmatullin, Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, top executives of industrial and commercial enterprises, ministries and agencies of Tatarstan.

According to the tradition, only five top prizes are awarded among Top 100 golden goods; three of them this year were held by Tatarstan’s manufacturers.

This year, special interest in the contest was shown by state-funded medical institutions of the republic; nine of them became contest winners. It is important to understand that participation in the contest would provide a unique opportunity to both demonstrate your goods and recommend them as the best in your competitive environment.

In total, 451 applications were accepted this year with goods and services from 205 enterprises. Some 134 goods and services from Tatarstan were presented to the federal stage of the 100 best goods of Russia contest, of which 43 became winners at the federal level. These are the best results among all constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

A ceremonial event dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Kazan Instrument Engineering Design Bureau (KPKB) was held today in Kazan.

Since its inception in the late 1950s, the KPKB has been the country's leader for the development of primary transducers and their corresponding display facilities.

Despite the difficult economic conditions in the recent past, the key R&D competencies have now been fully restored in the design bureau. This was achieved, among other things, through reorganising the principles and methods of designing electronic devices and through recruiting employees with new skills in the field of circuit design and programming.

The company has carried out work on the development of competencies in the field of contract design and production based on digital technologies. A substantial upgrade of production capacities in the field of microelectronics and GIS has been implemented. The company celebrates its anniversary with a promising and dynamically developing design bureau.

From the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, the event was attended by Deputy Minister Ildar Mingaleyev.
