Today, the first line of the valve manufacturing plant by the Korea-headquartered Apollo Group, one of the industry’s leaders, was opened in the Almetyevsk District.
Within the framework of the List of Instructions following the visit of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov to the Republic of Korea and owing to the full support from the Republic’s leaders, a work on creating a joint venture began in October 2016 in the territory of the Tatneft-Aktiv Technopark with the assistance from the Almetyevsk Municipal District.
Today, the new Apollo-T plant with a total area of 2,200 square metres is equipped with lines for the production of pneumatic actuators, assembly lines for control and shut-off valves, and test equipment. The plant capacity allows producing up to 7,000 units per year; its production capacity is expected to be increased up to 15,000 units by 2021. The total amount of expected investment in Tatarstan is $50 million.
The Apollo Group was founded in Korea in 1993. At present, its sales market, in addition to the Asia-Pacific Region countries, includes the Middle East, North and South America. The main consumers of its products are SK and S-Oil plants (Republic of Korea), as well as other oil and gas companies around the world. The annual turnover is about $320 million per year. The Apollo plants employ over 800 highly qualified professionals and its enterprises have a high degree of automation.
