Today, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov presented the new director of the Tatarstan Centre for Energy Saving Technology under the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers.
The institution is the centre of competence both in the energy efficiency matters and in the issues of labour productivity, developments in energy sector and manufacturing industry.
Since 1997, the Centre for Energy Saving Technology was headed by Yevgeny Martynov, who was responsible for approving two laws on energy saving and implementing three republic’s energy efficiency programmes. Minister Karimov thanked the former director for his merits and many years of conscientious work for the benefit of the republic and presented a new head, Marat Akhmerov.
Marat Akhmerov worked in the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade for more than 5 years as a head of the analytical department, ensuring the implementation of the republic’s labour productivity increase programme, calculating the forecasts of the republic’s production volumes and industrial production index. He also oversaw the monitoring and analysis of production and commercial activities and financial condition of enterprises and organisations; dealt with issues of digitalisation at industrial enterprises and preparing key reports.
Today, a Headquarters meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov. Participants to the meeting discussed the working out of a scheme and a programme for power industry development in Tatarstan in 2019-2024, the reliable and uninterrupted power supply for the WorldSkills Kazan 2019, passing through flood and fire hazard periods by electric power industry facilities, the implementation of investment projects for the construction and reconstruction of key power facilities, as well as the fulfilment of the 2019 repair operations.

An interview with Deputy Minister Aleksey Savelchev and Deputy Director General of Raritek Holding Ramil Ishmaev was held live today on the TNV channel, where they talked about the 2018 results and outcomes of the Republic’s gas motor fuel development programme. In addition, the speakers told about the future prospects and tasks for 2019.
It is important to note that Tatarstan holds a lead in the development of gas-fuel infrastructure and the consumption of compressed natural gas (as a result of the work of republic’s ministries, agencies, enterprises, and the successful implementation of the government programme “Development of the Gas-Motor Fuel Market in Tatarstan in 2013-2023”). In addition, there is an extensive network of high, medium, and low pressure gas pipelines. However, the network of CNG filling stations does not allow to fully organise transport routes for CNG-powered vehicles throughout the republic. Therefore, in order to stimulate the conversion of vehicles to run on gas motor fuel by way of expanding the CNG filling infrastructure, the government programme “Construction of Natural Gas Filling Stations in Tatarstan” was approved for implementation from 2019 to 2021.
