On 10 to 11 September 2012, Permanent Deputy Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in the Russian Federation Georg Birgelen pays a visit to the Republic of Tatarstan. On 10 September 2012, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan held a meeting between the First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Ruslan Kabirov and Mr. Georg Birgelen. As part of the meeting, the presentation of the republic’s industrial and investment potential was held. The parties discussed the issues of cooperation development between the Republic of Tatarstan and the Federal Republic of Germany.
Within the visit, the representatives of the German Embassy in Moscow are expected to attend the opening ceremony of the Russian-German Biotechnologies Forum to take place on September 11 this year.

On 7 September 2012, top executives of OAO Kazan Helicopters awarded the graduates of the sponsored class from Gymnasium No. 8 who had successfully passed their entrance exams and enrolled at Tupolev Kazan National Research Technical University KAI, a partner in the innovative career-guidance project of Kazan Helicopters. The gymnasium graduates, now students, were awarded with the laptops to facilitate their future studies at the University.

On 6 September 2012, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov attended the events of the business programme under the 19th International Exhibition “Oil. Gas. Petrochemicals”. The republic’s leader made a tour of the displays of domestic and foreign companies and participate in the International Research and Applied Conference “Highly Viscous Oils and Natural Bitumens: Issues and Ways to Improve the Exploration and Exploitation of the Fields” and a round table discussion “Extended Use of the Republic’s Petrochemicals in the Road Building and Capital Construction Sectors”.

The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Zaripov chaired the meeting related to the development of children’s technical art in Tatarstan. The meeting was attended by the senior officials from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Education and Science, Association of Enterprises and Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Tatarstan, Republic’s Centre of Out-Of-School Activities, Tupolev Kazan National Research Technical University (KAI), Kazan National Research Technological University, and Kazan State Power Engineering University.
The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Zaripov noted that “The Interdepartmental Task Force is being established for the purpose of enhancing the work of the republic’s education and supplementary education establishments pursuing the organization of the students’ research activities, dissemination of blue-collar jobs, improvement of career guidance activities, and development of children’s technical art among the schoolers and students”.

On 5 September 2012, the 19th International Exhibition “Oil. Gas. Petrochemicals” was opened. The opening ceremony was attended by Tatarstan First Deputy Prime Minister Ravil Muratov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Energy of Azerbaijan Gulmamed Javadov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Khamza Bagmanov, Director of the Union of Oil and Gas Industrialists of Russia Gennady Shmal, Director of the Institute of Petroleum Chemistry at the Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences Lubov Altunina, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Bashkortostan Yuriy Pustovgarov, and top executives of major enterprises representing the republic’s gas and petrochemical sectors.
As a part of the opening programme, the plenary meetings of the International Research and Applied Conferences titled “Innovative Technologies in Petrochemical and Oil Refining Industries” and “Highly Viscous Oils and Natural Bitumens: Issues and Ways to Improve the Exploration and Exploitation of the Fields” were also held.

On 4 September 2012, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Zaripov chaired the meeting titled “On the progress in holding activities of the Target Programme “Introduction of Lean Production in the Republic of Tatarstan for years 2012-2013” and the opportunities to implement the lean technologies in the republic for years 2013-2015”. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Ministers of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Gulnara Akhmadeeva and Hamza Bagmanov, the Chairman of Economics and Management Department at Tupolev National Research Technical University Gaziz Mingaleev, and the Business Development Manager for Russia & CIS countries at the International Company Lean Coaching Lira Churilova.

On 5 to 7 September 2012, under the auspices of President Rustam Minnikhanov and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan will hold the 19th International Specialized Exhibition “Oil. Gas. Petrochemicals 2012”. The Exhibition is organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the Ministry of Informatization and Communications of the Republic of Tatarstan, Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, OAO Tatneftekhiminvest-holding, OAO Tatneft, OAO TAIF, ZAO Nefteconsortsium, and OAO Kazanskaya Yarmarka. On 6 September 2012, the International Exhibition “Oil. Gas. Petrochemicals 2012” will be attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. The programme comprises the official tour of the exhibition, the plenary meeting of the International Research and Applied Conference “Highly Viscous Oils and Natural Bitumens: Issues and Ways to Improve the Exploration and Exploitation of the Fields”, and a round table discussion “Expansion of the Republic’s Petrochemicals to the Road Building and Capital Construction Sectors”.

On 31 August 2012, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Zaripov chaired the organisational meeting concerning the preparations to and holding of the events under the 19th International Exhibition “Oil. Gas. Petrochemicals 2012” on 5 to 7 September 2012. The meeting was attended by the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rinat Sabirov, senior officials from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Ministry of Transport and Roads, Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing, Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, OAO Kazanskaya Yarmarka, and GUP Centre of Information Technologies of the Republic of Tatarstan.

On 27 August to 1 September 2012, the Republic of Tatarstan welcomes the business community delegation of the United Mexican States. The delegation comprises the Mexican and Canadian investors and businessmen representing the international consulting company DVertex. The purpose of the working visit is to present the consulting company DVertex, to discuss the issues of cooperation with the republic’s enterprises and organisations representing its real sector of economy, including the agricultural industry.
The delegation is scheduled to visit JSC SEZ Alabuga and Aznakayevsky and Sabinsky municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan.
