On 28 September 2012 in Bugulma, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ravil Zaripov attended the ceremonial event dedicated to the 50th Anniversary of OAO Bugulma Electric Pumps Plant (BENZ). On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ravil Zaripov congratulated the long-service employees and personnel of the Bugulma Electric Pumps Plant, one of the leading mechanical engineering enterprises in Tatarstan.
The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade laid an emphasis on the contribution of the Bugulma Municipal District and industrial enterprises functioning in its territory to the republic’s vigorous social and economic development.
The Bugulma Electric Pumps Plant currently upgrades its production capacities, renews its fixed capital, introduces up-to-date technologies, implements investment projects, manufactures competitive products, and continuously trains its personnel. As a result, the plant holds about 30% of Russia’s market of capital repairs of submersible equipment.
On 27 September 2012, Kazan hosted the Tatarstan-Luxembourg Business Forum. The ceremonial opening of the Forum was attended by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, and the Prime Minister of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, His Excellency Mr. Jean-Claude Juncker. Prior to the Forum opening, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Prime Minister of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg made a tour of the exhibition of the social, economic, and investment potential of the Republic of Tatarstan.
While opening the Business Forum, the Tatarstan President emphasised that the republic is interested in the attraction of the Luxembourg businesses and capitals to Tatarstan, as well as in the extension of bilateral ties.
According to the Prime Minister of Luxembourg, the choice of Tatarstan as a platform to promote the bilateral cooperation is determined by the fact that the republic is one of the most economically developed Russian regions.
The opening of the Business Forum comprised the signing of an Agreement between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Chamber of Commerce of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, round table discussion titled “Prospects and Opportunities of Bilateral Cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg” with the participation of the representatives of the Tatarstan and Luxembourg business communities, and a presentation was made by the Luxembourg business delegation.
The mission of the Forum is to promote the bilateral trade, economic, and investment cooperation.

0n 26 September 2012, within the 39th Federal Wholesale Fair of Goods and Equipment of Textile and Light Industries Textillegprom (Moscow), the representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in the round table discussions concerning the issues of appliance of the Technical Regulations “On the Safety of Light Industry Products”. The meeting involved the representatives of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, Federal Service on Consumers’ Rights Protection, Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology, Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, Russian Association of Entrepreneurs of Textile and Light Industries, top executives from enterprises representing the light industry, and leaders of public organisations.
Today, Zelenodolsk hosted the ceremonial celebration of an Engineering Worker’s Day organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan jointly with the Association of Enterprises and Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Tatarstan, enterprises of the republic’s mechanical engineering sector, and the Administration of Zelenodolsk Municipal District. The ceremonial celebration of the Engineering Worker’s Day was attended by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The ceremonial events were also attended by top executives from 100 enterprises of the republic’s mechanical engineering sector, representatives of workers’ associations and long-service employees of mechanical engineering enterprises, and students of Zelenodolsk educational establishments.

When congratulating engineering workers with their professional holiday, President Rustam Minnikhanov emphasised that the crude oil production and refining, mechanical engineering, and petrochemical industries are the key spheres to determine the competitiveness of our Republic.
In his congratulating speech, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Zaripov pointed out that the republic is justifiably proud of the unique experience of many generations of engineers, qualified professionals, achievements of science and design spheres, and production success of mechanical engineering enterprises.

On 27 September 2012, Kazan hosts the Tatarstan-Luxembourg Business Forum with the participation of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Prime Minister of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg His Excellency Jean-Claude Juncker. The Forum is a key event in the bilateral cooperation between Tatarstan and Luxembourg. The mission of the Forum is to promote cooperation and to enhance the trade and economic relations, as well as to attract investments.
The Forum’s programme includes the signing of an Agreement between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Chamber of Commerce of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. It also comprises the tour of the exhibition of the social, economic, and investment potential of the Republic of Tatarstan, a plenary session, and a round table discussion with the participation of the representatives of the Tatarstan and Luxembourg business communities.

Within the ceremonial and cultural events dedicated to the celebration of an Engineering Worker’s Day and activities on the promotion of blue-collar jobs, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan jointly with the Association of Enterprises and Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Tatarstan, enterprises of the republic’s mechanical engineering sector, and the Administration of Zelenodolsk Municipal District, organise and hold a celebration ceremony of the Engineering Worker’s Day in  Zelenodolsk. The events of the celebration ceremony of the Engineering Worker’s Day will be also attended by top executives from 100 enterprises representing the republic’s mechanical engineering sector, representatives of workers’ associations and veterans of mechanical engineering enterprises, and students of Zelenodolsk educational establishments.

On 20 to 22 September 2012, Sochi hosts the 11th International Investment Forum which will be attended by the delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. The republic’s delegation comprises the Deputy Prime Minister, Mister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Informatization and Communications Roman Shaikhutdinov, Aide to the President Radik Gimatdinov, Aide to the President Airat Khairullin, Minister of Economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov, Chief Executive of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Linar Yakupov, Chief Executive Officer of Tatarstan Investment and Venture Fund Ainur Aideldinov, Chairman of OAO Ak Bars Bank Board of Directors Robert Musin, and Director General of OAO Holding Company Ak Bars Ivan Yegorov.
At the International Investment Forum in Sochi, the Republic of Tatarstan will exhibit its interactive displays representing the Innopolis project. The Forum’s participants will present the investment projects entitled “The Creation of Production of Military Transport Airplane AN-70 at Gorbunov Kazan Aircraft Production Association”, “The Construction of Integrated Complex for the Production of Ammonia, Methanol, and Granulated Carbamide in Mendeleyevsk”, innovation project in the sphere of high-speed maritime passenger transportation, and “The Construction of a Complex of Oil Refining and Petrochemical Plants in Nizhnekamsk”.

On 11 September 2012, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov launched the Russia’s and Eastern Europe’s largest injection-molding machine Engel at OOO IPlast. The official ceremony was attended by ENGEL Holding CEO Peter Neumann, Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Khamza Bagmanov, Chairman of the Council of Tatarstan Municipalities Minsagit Shakirov, Head of the Nizhnekamsk Municipal District, Mayor of Nizhnekamsk Aidar Metshin, Director General of OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim Vladimir Busygin, and Chairman of OOO IPlast Board of Directors Sergey Donguzov.
The production complex Engel 5500 comprising the industrial robot machine Kuka (Germany) and die-muold of Haidlmair (Austria) was engineered and implemented by ENGEL Company on a turn-key basis.

By decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, a title of “Honorary Figure of Russian Higher Education” was conferred on Gaziz Mingaleev – a head of the department of the Federal State-Financed Educational Institution of Higher Vocational Education “Kazan State Technical University n.a. A.Tupolev - KAI”. He participated in designing a course of study and a study guide titled “Modern Techniques of Lean Production Organization, Management and Technology”.

On 10 September 2012, the Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov is on an official visit to Ukraine. In Kiev, the delegation composed of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov and top executives of some aircraft engineering enterprises of the republic visited GP Antonov, the leading aircraft corporation of Ukraine, where they studied the flight test and development base and production facilities of the enterprise.
