On 26 February 2013, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Zaripov chaired the first meeting of the Joint Work Group for the creation of the International Trade Centre in Kazan. The meeting was attended by Director General of OAO TsMT (Moscow) Vladimir Salamatov, representatives from the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, Investment Development Agency, Executive Committee of Kazan, OAO Kazanskaya Yarmarka, and OAO TsMT (Moscow).
The meeting discussed organisational issues of creating the International Trade Centre in Kazan and studied options for its location.

On 26 February 2013, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan jointly with the International Trade Centre (Moscow) held the seminar & workshop entitled “Opportunities and Threats for the Russian Business: Strategy and Tactics for Success under the WTO. Peculiar Features in the Republic of Tatarstan” organised for representatives of the republic’s industrial enterprises
The seminar was attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Gulnara Akhmadeyeva and experts from the International Business Centre (IBC) “Russia in WTO” under the International Trade Centre: Director of the IBC Roman Gubenko and its Deputy Maksim Vorobyov. The seminar brought together over 20 representatives from major enterprises representing the republic’s mechanical engineering and petrochemical sectors.

On 25 February 2013, under the programme of the Kama Investment Forum, Naberezhnye Chelny hosted the 2nd meeting of the Investment Council of the Republic of Tatarstan. The meeting was attended by Ildar Khalikov, Tatarstan Prime Minister; Ravil Zaripov, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade; Linar Yakupov, Chairman of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency; Minsagit Shakirov, Chairman of the Tatarstan Municipalities Council; Vasil Shaikhriziev, Mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny; and heads of the republic’s municipalities. The participants of the meeting made a tour of the exhibition of the investment opportunities of municipalities comprised into the Kama Area Innovation Production Cluster.

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov extended his congratulations to the long-service employees of the industry and staff of the Ministry on the Defender of the Motherland Day. The congratulation states: "We are justifiably proud of the glorious and heroic history of the Russian Army and Navy, courage of many generations of soldiers securely protecting freedom and independence of our native land. On the 23rd of February, we are honouring those who have devoted their lives to military service, who decently serve their duty, ensure security and well-being of Russia’s citizens." Ravil Zaripov extended his wishes of good health, happiness, peace, prosperity, success for the good of our country to long-service employees of the industry and staff of the Ministry.

On 18 February 2013, Abu-Dhabi hosted the Meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Emirate Commission for Trade, Economic and Technology Cooperation co-chaired by Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov and UAE Minister for Foreign Affairs Abdalla bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The meeting was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Aide to Tatarstan President on International Issues Radik Gimatdinov, and First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Ruslan Kabirov.

On 21 February 2013, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan hosted the ceremony of granting merit certificates in the field of quality by the Tatarstan Government Quality Award Council to the participants of the 8th Open Contest for Tatarstan Government Quality Prizes. Merit certificates were awarded by the Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Rashat Fattahov. The Merit certificates in the field of quality by the Tatarstan Government Quality Award Council were granted to the following enterprises: OOO Tatteploizolyatsia (Laishevo District); “Omet” Integrated Centre for Social Services (Aznakaevo); Yelabuga Polytechnic College (Yelabuga); “Emet” Integrated Centre for Social Services (Vysokaya Gora District); Almetyevsk State Institute of Municipal Service (Almetyevsk); OAO Institute for Tatarstan Road Facilities Design (Kazan); OOO "Kama" Centre of Science and Technology (Nizhnekamsk).

On 20 February 2013, KAMAZ Centre for Culture and Business in Naberezhnye Chelny hosted the sectoral meeting entitled “Outcomes of the Industrial, Business and Consumer Market Enterprises in 2012 and Tasks for 2013” which was attended by top officials from the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, Naberezhnye Chelny City Administration, representatives of governmental and municipal authorities of Tatarstan, republic’s enterprises and organisations. The participants of the meeting were welcomed by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Gulnara Akhmadeeva. She informed the audience on major outcomes of republic’s industry and consumer market in 2012, tasks for the forthcoming period, and outlined the current state of the Kama Area Innovation Production Cluster and its prospects for development.

On 19 February 2013, the Kama Industrial Forum 2013 in Naberezhnye Chelny hosted the Territorial Research and Practice Seminar & Meeting on urgent issues of energy saving and increase in energy efficiency with the participation of Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Hamza Bagmanov. The Seminar was organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, Centre for Energy Saving Technologies under the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, Naberezhnye Chelny City Administration, and EXPO-KAMA Exhibition Centre.

Following the results of the 13th All-Russia Engineer of the Year Competition, head of a division at the Automation Centre of OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim I.Davletshin and head of laboratory at the company’s Centre for Science and Technology R.Sharifullin were declared winners in the category of “Professional Engineers”. Another seven petrochemical experts were awarded the ranks of “Professional Engineers of Russia”. In the category “Engineering Art of the Young”, a rank of the “2012 Engineer” was awarded to deputy head of a division at the Divinyl and Raw Hydrocarbon Plant A.Burykin. It should also be noted that the company’s two young professionals became the winners of the first round of this competition.

On 14 February 2013, in the course of the Joint Closeout Collegium of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan and Ministry of Economy of Tatarstan with participation of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, the Agreement on Interaction was signed between Tatarstan and Joint Stock Company Chelyabinsk Pipe-Rolling Plant (ChelPipe) on the issue of implementing the project entitled the “Tatarstan Future College”. The document was endorsed by signatures of Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov and Chairman of the ChelPipe Board of Directors Alexander Fedorov.
