On 14 August 2013, Kazan hosted the opening of the 15th Intermebel Specialised Exhibition and the 14th Woodworking Specialised Exhibition.
Intermebel and Woodworking Exhibitions have become a traditional venue for experts in timber, woodworking, and furniture industries. Intermebel 2013 has brought together over 60 enterprises, including representative offices of foreign companies.
This year, the business programme of the exhibitions comprises the 6th Regional Forum “Forest and Man - Kazan” to study the topical issues for the development of timber and woodworking industries. Jihaz Furniture Contest will define the best product samples among the exhibitors.

On 13 August 2013, Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Rashat Fattakhov chaired the meeting regarding the issues of enhancing competitive strength of the republic’s industrial enterprises, innovation development of enterprises, science-driven industries, and high-tech products and services in Tatarstan. The meeting was attended by heads of departments from the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade.

On 12 August 2013, Kurkach Airfield hosted the on-the-spot meeting regarding the issues of organising and holding the Aviation Holiday “I Opt for the Sky”. The meeting was attended by Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Ildar Mingaleyev, representatives of the republic’s ministries and agencies, Tatarstan Central Aeroclub under the Russian Public and State Organisation “Voluntary Association for Assistance to Army, Aviation and Fleet”, and OAO Kazanskaya Yarmarka.
The meeting dealt with the issues of organising the flight programme for the Holiday with the participation of light and heavy aircraft, paratroopers, and aeromodellers.

On 12 August 2013, Tatarstan First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Ruslan Kabirov attended the meeting held between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Mexican States to the Russian Federation Rubén Alberto Beltrán Guerrero. The meeting dealt with the issues of current trade and economic cooperation between Tatarstan and Mexico, as well as with promising areas for developing cooperation ties.

On 9 August 2013, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade hosted the meeting regarding the organisation of the Tatarstan Expo at the 12th International Investment Forum Sochi 2013.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Rashat Fattakhov, representatives of Tupolev Kazan State Technical University, Regional Medical High-Tech Engineering Centre in Tatarstan, Centre for Cooperation with State-Owned Companies and Interaction with Federal Agencies under the Kazan National Research Technological University, as well as heads of departments from the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade and Ministry of Economy.
The meeting dealt with the issues of presenting the engineering centres being created by the republic in various sectors of the economy.

On 9 August 2013, Naberezhnye Chelny hosted the meeting regarding the issues of promoting the products of local manufacturers to the Russian market and abroad. The meeting was attended by First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Ruslan Kabirov, Acting Deputy Director of Executive Committee of Naberezhnye Chelny Yelena Voronina, and representatives of the city’s business community.
The meeting dealt with the issues of expanding markets for the republic’s products through the assistance of the Tatarstan representative offices in Russia’s regions, as well as in the CIS and non-CIS countries.

Following the results of H1 2013, OAO AvtoVAZ, one of major consumers of products manufactured by OAO Tatneft Tyre Complex, has recognised OAO Nizhnekamskshina as an excellent supplier. Such a high appraisal confirms the accuracy of Nizhnekamskshina in meeting quality requirements of its products.

On 6 August 2013, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade hosted the meeting regarding the implementation of the Action Plan issued by the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan for organising the execution of the main provisions and goals as defined by Decrees of the Russian President Vladimir Putin dated May 7, 2013.
The meeting was attended by Alevtina Kudryavtseva, Director of the Centre for Economic and Social Research under the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers; Gulnara Akhmadeyeva and Rashat Fattakhov, Deputy Ministers of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan; Yury Bagrov, First Deputy Minister of Information and Communications; as well as heads of departments from the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade and Ministry of Economy.

On 6 August 2013, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade hosted the meeting to discuss the issues of elaborating the Targeted Programme entitled “Development of Children’s and Teenagers’ Technical Art for 2014-2016”. The meeting was attended by Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Gulnara Akhmadeyeva, representatives of Tupolev Kazan State Technical University, and heads of departments at the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The meeting dealt with the discussion of goals, challenges, and main events to be included into the draft programme.

On 5 August 2013, the meeting chaired by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and attended by Russian Deputy Minister of Finance Andrey Ivanov was held to discuss the issues of implementing large-scaled investment projects (creation of Innopolis, Kama Area Innovation Production Cluster, and regional engineering centres) and State measures for their support. The meeting was also attended by Ildar Mingaleyev, Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade; Rafinat Yarullin, Director of OAO Tatneftekhiminvest-holding; and top executives of the republic’s ministries, agencies, organisations, and leading educational establishments.
