On 27 to 30 October 2013, the delegation of the Chechen Republic headed by its Deputy Prime Minister Khasan Khakimov has a working visit to Tatarstan.

The goal of the visit is to consider experience of Tatarstan in different areas of activities, including investment and cluster policies, territorial development, transport, and information technologies.

Within the framework of the visit, delegation will make the tours of Technopolis Himgrad and ZAO Danaflex-Nano, Water Sports Palace, Kazan-Arena football stadium, IT-park, Special Economic Zone Alabuga and OAO PA ELAZ.

On 24 October 2013, Chairman of the Military Industry Commission under the Russian Government, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin took part in the visiting meeting of the Commission held in Tatarstan and dedicated to the issue of providing highly-qualified staff to the organisations of the military industry complex.

The meeting was also attended by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, First Deputy Chairman of the Military Industry Commission Ivan Kharchenko, Director of the Federal Defence Procurement Service Alexander Potapov, Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, First Deputy Director General of the State Corporation Rostec Aleksey Aleshin, representatives of Russia’s constituent entities, and top executives of the military industry complex.

On 22 October 2013, Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers held a briefing entitled “Results of the working visit to Germany by Tatarstan delegation headed by President Rustam Minnikhanov”. The briefing was attended by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov and Chairman of Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shamil Ageyev.

When describing the main events of the working visit of the Tatarstan delegation to Germany held on 15-17 October 2013, Ravil Zaripov emphasised that “upon studying the economic and investment potential of the federal lands of North Rhine Westphalia and Thuringia, both sides discussed the issues of mutually beneficial cooperation”.

On 16 October 2013, Tatarstan delegation headed by President Rustam Minnikhanov visited “K-Messe”, the 19th International Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber. The visit to the fair resulted in signing documents of bilateral cooperation: the contract between OAO Kazanorgsintez and Coperion GmbH (covering the supply of a compounding unit to the LPPE plant) and the contract between OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim and Linde AG for rendering services of engineering supervision over the installation work in the course of the alpha-olefin production facilities upgrade project.

On 18 October 2013, in the format of videoconference the meeting was held with the Tatarstan representative offices both in the Russian Federation and abroad under the chairmanship of Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov. Tatarstan top executives of ministries, agencies, public organizations took part in the meeting.

Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov voiced the objectives for the representative offices of the Republic of Tatarstan in foreign countries and in the regions of the Russian Federation in the field of trade, economic and investment cooperation.

Current issues raised by the Tatarstan representative offices were discussed during the meeting. 

On 17 October 2013 within the framework of the plenary meeting of the 3d International scientific and applied forum ‘Effective System of Management – Strategies of Success’ Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade  Gulnara Akhmadeeva delivered a report ‘On the vehicles to enhance competitive edge in Tatarstan manufacturing industries during crisis’.

While implementing the “Programme for development of the Tatarstan oil-gas and chemical complex for 2010-2014”, the activities are underway on increasing production capacity and investment-supported development of oil-producing, oil-refining, chemicals and petrochemicals companies, as well as on implementing major innovation and investment projects.

On 17 October 2013, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov took part in the meeting between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Thuringia Prime Minister Christine Lieberknecht.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Christine Lieberknecht mentioned a considerable interest of the business community and non-governmental organisations in the current visit of the Tatarstan delegation.

On 17 October 2013, Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Rashat Fattakhov,  the Co-Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the competition, held a meeting with the working group for arranging the awarding ceremony for the winners of the republic’s competition entitled “The Best Goods and Services of Tatarstan” in 2013.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade and the CSM Tatarstan Federal State-Funded Institution. The meeting dealt with the issues of holding the award ceremony of the republic’s competition and organising the exhibition on 28 November 2013.

On 16 October 2013, the 19th International Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber entitled “K-Messe” was visited by the Tatarstan delegation headed by President Rustam Minnikhanov in the course of their working trip to Germany.

On 16 October 2013, Ford Sollers Yelabuga plant hosted a ceremonial launch of Ford Kuga full-cycle manufacture. The ceremony was attended by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Ford Sollers President Ted Cannis, Director General of ОАО Sollers Vadim Shvetsov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Rashat Fattakhov, Ford Sollers Executive Director Adil Shirinov, and a special guest of the ceremony, Ford Motor Executive Chairman Bill Ford.
