In 2013, a total of 523.27 million tonnes of crude oil and gas condensate were produced in Russia, which exceeds the 2012 figure by 1 percent. In December, 44.96 million tonnes of crude oil were produced.
That year, OAO Tatneft recovered 26.41 million tonnes of crude oil; this figure includes subsidiary companies. It is worth noting that Tatneft Group recovered 26,306,850 tonnes in 2012, with parent company producing 26.5 million tonnes and subsidiary companies (at oilfields outside Tatarstan in Russia), 302,000 tonnes.

Russian Andrey Karginov from KAMAZ-Master team won the third stage of the Dakar 2014 rally in truck category. The third stage, San Rafael – San Juan, has a 596km total length and 301km special stage length. Dutchman Gerard de Rooy was second on IVECO and Czech Ales Loprais was third on TATRA.

On 19 December 2013, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov participated in the meeting with the delegation from Altai Region, which had a working trip to Tatarstan.
Within the framework of the meeting, the presentations of industrial and investment potential of both Tatarstan and Altai Region were held, the parties discussed the issues of interregional cooperation, among others the issues of trade and economic affairs development.
Within the framework of the visit, Altai Region delegation visited the Agro-industrial Park and IT Park, familiarized itself with the expertise of industrial site operations activities and development of innovations in Tatarstan and attended the meeting in the Tatarstan Ministry of Agriculture and Foodstuff.

On 18 December 2013, Kazan Power Engineering University held celebrations to mark its forty fifth anniversary.
Over the 45-year history the Kazan Power Engineering University has trained 33, 460 highly qualified experts for the energy sector. The university arranged training and retraining of energy companies’ employees.
The university boasts its potential to train specialists and carry our research studies in various areas, as well as its enormous laboratory potential and human resources. The university staff is commendable with the enterprises, educational institutions and research organizations both in the republic and beyond.

On 17 December 2013, the meeting between the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Chairman of the State Duma of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Region Boris Khokhryakov was attended by the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov and Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Gusev. The meeting dealt with the issues of interaction and cooperation between the two leading regions of Russia.
The parliamentary delegation of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Region is on working trip to Tatarstan. On 16 December 2013, the delegation conducted a visit to the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan which resulted in signing the Interparliamentary Agreement.

On 16 December 2013, Almetyevsk hosted the meeting chaired by the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and dedicated to the issues of human resourcing in the republic’s sectors of economy. The meeting was attended by the Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, heads of the republic’s ministries and agencies, as well as top officials from educational establishments and enterprises.
Ravil Zaripov made a report on activities of industrial enterprises in training highly qualified and technically competent personnel, as well as issues in this area.
Rustam Minnikhanov informed that following the results of manpower training, the rankings of enterprises and educational establishments will be compiled. He also favoured the idea of promoting blue-collar jobs and taking consistent measures in this field.

On 14 December 2013, the Pyramid Cultural and Entertainment Complex hosted the Gala Concert of the Tatarstan Republic’s Working Youth Creativity TV Festival.
The third place was shared by the creative groups of PA Zelenodolsk Plant named after Sergo and Kukmor multidisciplinary vocational school named after Bulatov. They were awarded certificates and monetary prize in the amount of 20 thousand roubles.
The second place was shared by three groups at once, viz. Kazan Aircraft Production Association named after Gorbunov, Almetyevsk Pipe Plant and MC Tatneft-Neftekhim. They were awarded certificates and cash prize in the amount of 25 thousand roubles.
The first place was shared by groups from Kazan Grid Company and Zainsk Region State District Power Plant. They were awarded challenge cups, certificates and monetary prize in the amount of 30 thousand roubles.
“We would most like the people in our society and republic to develop in harmony, work comfortably and create after work”, noticed Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov. It was he who awarded the prizes to the team which became the holder of the Festival Grand Prix: the challenge cup of the Tatarstan President, a certificate, a monetary prize in the amount of 100 thousand roubles and the document stating that one of the stars in Great Bear constellation was given a name in honour of OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim.

On 14 December 2013, the Pyramid Cultural and Entertainment Complex is to host the Gala Concert of the Tatarstan Republic’s Working Youth Creativity TV Festival. The Festival is to be held under the auspices of the Tatarstan President on an initiative of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade jointly with the Tatarstan Republic’s Youth Social Organization Sozvezdie-Yoldyzlyk.
The regional stages of the Festival were held from 14 November 2013 to 1 December 2013 in the Nizhnekamsky, Almetyevsky and Zelenodolsky Districts of Tatarstan.
The prize winners will be awarded certificates, challenge cups, prizes and monetary cash.
The Grand Prix recipient will be awarded the pass challenge cup of the Tatarstan President and certificate for one hundred thousand roubles.

Within the framework of the actions carried jointly by the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Republic’s Agency for Press and Mass Communications to propagate the joy of labour, to popularise workers’ and engineers’ jobs, as well as to promote the activities of the Interdepartmental Working Group for the Introduction of Lean Production Techniques in the republic, the manufacturing site of ELAZ saw, on 11 December 2013, the closing ceremony of the Flagman innovative project to increase labour productivity and the launch of Flagman-2 and Flagman-3 projects.
