Innovative project “Flagman” being implemented in ELAZ to increase labour productivity

Within the framework of the actions carried jointly by the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Republic’s Agency for Press and Mass Communications to propagate the joy of labour, to popularise workers’ and engineers’ jobs, as well as to promote the activities of the Interdepartmental Working Group for the Introduction of Lean Production Techniques in the republic, the manufacturing site of ELAZ saw, on 11 December 2013, the closing ceremony of the Flagman innovative project to increase labour productivity and the launch of Flagman-2 and Flagman-3 projects.
The ceremony was attended by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Gulnara Akhmadeyeva, representatives of Yelabuga Administration, top executives and representatives of OAO PA ELAZ and republic’s enterprises, coaches of Lean Coaching Company, students of Yelabuga technological universities and institutions of vocational education.
The year before, a new major project entitled Flagman was launched at ELAZ to increase labour productivity. The project has been implemented with the participation of Lean Coaching Company, an international expert, in the company’s assembly workshop of special oil-producing machinery.
The objective of the project is to optimise the manufacturing processes of special oil-producing machinery through the implementation of present -date standards, methods and technologies of management based on lean principles and techniques. The project ensures the increase in assembly work efficiency and the reduction of production costs.
