After the plenary part of the Forum, B2B meetings between Turkey and Tatarstan business communities were held.
On 7 March 2014, Turkey delegation visited warehouse and manufacturing sites in Kazan to study the issue of leasing premises for placing storage and production facilities there.
Within the framework of the programme, the presentation of Tatarstan trade, economic, investing and innovation potential will be held, together with the discussion of top-priority and promising projects of developing the cooperation between two parties. Furthermore, it is planned to visit Chinese industrial enterprises.
On 19 February 2014, the first meeting of the organising committee of the competition entitled ‘The Best Goods and Services of Tatarstan’ was held to summarise the results of the tenth anniversary competition of 2013 and approve the work plan for 2014. Organisers and experts of ‘The Best Goods and Services of Tatarstan’ 2013 were also awarded.
The main tasks of the competition is to reveal high-quality goods and services, attain a good standing of Tatarstan companies manufacturing the qualified products, to encourage the activities of various enterprises including small and medium-sized businesses, to improve the quality and competitiveness of the products they manufacture and services they render and to provide support to republic’s manufacturers in improving the image of their high-quality products by promoting these both in the republic’s domestic market and beyond.
Bashkortostan delegation headed by Bashkortostan Deputy Chief of Staff to the Government Mirhaydar Fatkhullin will visit Yelabuga on 18 to 19 February 2014.
The aim of the visit is to study the expertise of Tatarstan in creating conducive environment for implementing investment projects by Russia’s and international companies in the sphere of manufacturing by the example of OEZ Alabuga activities.
Within the framework of the visit, a meeting will be held in Yelabuga Municipal District Administration with the executives of Tatarstan Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources. What is more, the delegation will visit Alabuga Special Economic Zone to study the activities of certain residents.
On 12 February 2014, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov took part in the sectoral meeting entitled ‘Development Results of Industrial Enterprises, Entrepreneurship, Consumer Market and Services in 2013 and Challenges in 2014’ held in Naberezhnye Chelny City Hall.
The meeting was attended by Mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny Vasil Shaykhraziev, officials of republic’s ministries and agencies, delegates of the Tatarstan State Council and the Naberezhnye Chelny City Council, officials of Naberezhnye Chelny Executive Committee, and heads of industrial, trade enterprises and small and medium-size businesses in Naberezhnye Chelny.
In the course of the meeting, the Award Ceremony was held for republic’s and city laureates.
On 12 February 2014, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov visited the engineering centre of Kazan Federal University Branch in Naberezhnye Chelny. Issues dedicated to training competitive engineers and technical employees were discussed jointly with executives of the University and OAO KAMAZ.
In the course of his visit, Ravil Zaripov studied technical facilities of the University including laboratories. The executives of KFU Branch in Naberezhnye Chelny informed the Minister about the prospects of using this up-to-date equipment.
Singapore Airshow 2014, an international civil and military aircraft exhibition, is held in the Changi Expo Centre in Singapore from 11 to 16 February 2014. It hosts Russian Helicopters’ Mi-8/17 military transport helicopter models including Mi-17V-5 manufactured by OAO Kazan Helicopters. In the sector of light helicopters, visitors will have an opportunity to see Ansat which can be used as medical, police, or training helicopter.
Within the framework of the meeting, Minister Zaripov made a presentation of Tatarstan industrial and investment potential and discussed the issues of interregional cooperation development.
Within the framework of their programme in Tatarstan, Tver Region delegation will attend OAO Kazan Helicopters, Himgrad and INVENT technopolises and have a meeting with residents of Tatarstan industrial sites.
