From 24 April to 25 April 2014, KAMAZ and IT-Park held the conference ‘On Implementing Lean Production Systems to Defence Industry Organisations’ in Naberezhnye Chelny.
The conference was organised by the Military-Industrial Commission under the Russian Federation Government, the Tatarstan Government, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, OAO KAMAZ, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Naberezhnye Chelny and Zakamye Region and ANO Institut Orgprom.
The participants of the Lean Conference and representatives of mass media studied the practice of employing lean technologies in the plants of KAMAZ.

From 22 April to 23 April 2014, Moscow hosted the 1st International Sectoral Forum entitled ‘Legpromforum 2014’ and organised by Expocentre Central Exhibition Complex and Russia’s Union of Entrepreneurs of Textile and Light Industries under the auspices of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

On 23 April 2014, the panel discussion entitled ‘School Uniform as an Incentive to Russia’s Light Industry Enterprises Development’ was held within the framework of ‘Legpromforum 2014’.

The discussion covered issues of children’s clothes safety, the problems of placing orders to Russia’s garment enterprises, school uniform prices and its marketing through retail chains.

From 24 April to 25 April 2014, Naberezhnye Chelny will hold the lean conference and the field session of the Military-Industrial Commission under the Russian Federation Government entitled “On Implementing Lean Production Systems to Defence Industry Organisations” with the participation of Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov will deliver the report on the expertise gained during the implementation of lean technologies in Tatarstan.

On 18 April 2014, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov attended the meeting between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Chelpipe Group Chairman of the Board Aleksandr Fedorov.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the development prospects of ALNAS plant.
Aleksandr Fedorov emphasised that the joint programme with the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade for increasing labour efficiency being implemented at ALNAS as a pilot project and scheduled for 2013-2016 is yielding good results even now.

From 15 April to 18 April 2014, delegation from Bakhchysarai District of Crimea headed by its Chairman Valentina Krashkina visited Tatarstan.
The purpose of the visit is to establish efficient contacts with representatives of Tatarstan executive and municipal authorities, to learn from the advanced experience of Tatarstan municipalities and to discuss prospects for bilateral cooperation.
The Bakhchysarai District delegation had a meeting with Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers Shamil Gafarov. The meeting dealt with the operative issues of rendering methodological and material assistance to Bakhchysarai District.

On 16 April 2014, the meeting held in Beijing between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and executives of China’s leading state corporations, such as CIC Group and Poly Group was attended by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, Aide to the President of Tatarstan for International and Foreign Economic Issues Radik Gimatdinov, Chairman of the Committee for Economy, Investment and Entrepreneurship of the State Council of Tatarstan Marat Galeyev, officials of Tatarstan ministries and agencies, executives of Tatarstan leading mechanical engineering and petrochemical companies (OAO Tatneft, OAO KAMAZ, OAO TAIF and ZAO Gazprommezhregiongaz Kazan).
During the meeting of the delegation with the President of China Investment Corporation (CIC) Li Keping opportunities for investment attraction in Tatarstan economy on the part of CIC were discussed.
Within the framework of the visit to Beijing, Tatarstan delegation also had a meeting with the China State Councillor Yang Jiechi.

On 16 April 2014, within the framework of the visit of Tatarstan delegation to China headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Beijing held the presentation of Tatarstan industrial and innovation potential for the China business community.
The presentation was delivered by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov made.

On 10 April 2014, SEZ Alabuga hosted the ceremonial stone-laying of new facilities by OOO Havi Logistics Yelabuga (production and distribution centre) and OOO Huhtamaki Foodservice Alabuga (enterprise engaged in paper tableware and packaging manufacturing). The ceremony was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, President of Havi Logistics Europe Haluk Ilkdemirci, Vice President of Huhtamaki East Europe Kim Aganimov, Director General of McDonalds in Russia Aleksey Semenov, executives of OAO SEZ Alabuga and officials of Yelabuzhsky Municipal District.

On 10 April 2014, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov made a tour of OOO Research and Technical Centre for Full-Scale Production Upgrade located in SEZ Alabuga. The head of the republic was escorted by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, Tatarstan Aide to the President Ayrat Khairullin, Director General of OAO SEZ Alabuga Timur Shagivaleyev, etc.
OOO Research and Technical Centre for Full-Scale Production Upgrade (NTTS MSP) is implementing an innovative project for manufacturing exhaust-gas after-treatment systems for vehicles manufactured by OAO Sollers and OAO KAMAZ. The project was approved by the Expert Council on Industrial Special Economic Zones under the Russian Ministry of Economic Development in July 2012.

Tatneft attended the 17th Moscow International Salon of Inventions and Innovation Technologies ‘Archimedes 2014’. Pilot projects of this Tatarstan’s company won 34 prizes: 8 gold, 17 silver, and 8 bronze medals.
Tatneft was awarded with the Cup of Regions and the Diploma of Honour and Gratitude for the active work in organising and holding the Salon.
