On 30 April 2014, the Tatarstan-Turkish Business Forum was held within the framework of the visit of Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov to Turkey. The Forum was attended by more than hundred Turkish businessmen.
The main factors for choosing Tatarstan and SEZ Alabuga, according to Onur Guven, are Tatarstan officials’ favourable attitude towards foreign investors, convenient location and readily available infrastructure.

Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov congratulates the long-service employees of the industry and the personnel of Tatarstan enterprises in the spheres of manufacturing industry and commerce with the Spring Holiday of May Day. 

On 29 April 2014, the meeting of the Economic Council under the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers chaired by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov was held.

The meeting was attended by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, executives of ministries, agencies and the republic’s industrial enterprises.

The participants of the meeting discussed the enterprises’ financial activities in energy complex, petrochemical complex, machine-building complex, transportation complex, building complex and housing and public utilities complex in the current year.

On 29 April 2014, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade hosted the meeting of the Power Supply Safety Staff in the Republic of Tatarstan under the chairmanship of Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade, and Staff Deputy Chairman Ravil Zaripov.

The parties to the Staff meeting discussed issues for preparation to the fire prevention period of 2014.

During the meeting, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, power engineering enterprises of the republic and the Ministry of Civil Defence and Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan were entrusted with tasks to pass safely through the fire prevention period, to elaborate the interaction procedures for collecting and presenting data in order to allow the Duty Shift Service of the Staff to accomplish their relevant tasks.

On 29 April 2014, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov attended the meeting with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Russian Federation Mehdi Sanai.

The meeting dealt with the discussion of trade and economy cooperation development between Tatarstan and Iran.

The meeting held on 29 April 2014 between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Chairman of the Tiryakiler Board Mehmet Tiryaki was attended by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, Aide to the Tatarstan President on International and Foreign Economic Issues Radik Gimatdinov, Director General of Tirsan Kardan in Turkey Dzhihanser Ertunch, Director General of Tirsan Kardan in Russia Ismail Aliev and Acting Director General of OOO KIP Master Farid Zakirov.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the progress in implementing joint projects in Tatarstan and prospects for further cooperation.

On 28 April 2014, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov attended the meeting with Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov with the Crimean Tatar Mejlis delegation.

The meeting was attended by Aide to the Tatarstan President on International and Foreign Economic Issues Radik Gimatdinov, Chairman of the World Congress of Tatar People Rinat Zakirov, Deputy Chairman of Crimean Tatar Mejlis Nariman Dzhelyalov and Mejlis members.

Within the framework of their visit to Tatarstan, Mejlis delegation met with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and attended the opening ceremony of the Year of Kazan as a Culture Capital of the Turkic World 2014. The delegation made a tour of the medieval city of Bolgar.

From 26 April to 27 April 2014, Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited Turkmenistan.
Within the framework of the programme, Tatarstan delegation attended the meetings between the Tatarstan President and Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
During the meeting, Tatarstan and Turkmenistan signed bilateral documents, such as Agreement on friendship, on strengthening friendly relations and cooperation between Almetyevsk and Balkanabad, as well as the Agreement between the Tatarstan and Turkmenistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

On 24 April 2014, Kazan Helicopters hosted the collegium of the Russian Helicopters holding in Kazan. The participants of the collegium have discussed a wide range of issues related to activities in production reconstruction and renovation and management optimisation. The collegium also saw the discussion of Russia’s helicopter industry current level of efficiency and its development in future.

The meeting was attended by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, Director General of Russian Helicopters Aleksandr Mikheyev, executives from the parent company and production and intellectual assets of the holding.

On 25 April 2014, IT-Park in Naberezhnye Chelny hosted the field session of the Military Industry Commission under the Russian Government under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister of Russian Government Dmitry Rogozin. The meeting was attended by Director General of Rostec Sergey Chemezov, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, heads of Volga Federal District constituent entities, and executives of the military industry complex organisations. The meeting held in the IT-Park of the city summarised the results of the two-day lean production conference. It dealt with the issues of lean production systems implementation in the organisations of the military industry complex and implementation of antimonopoly requirements in the sphere of the government defence contracts.
