On 8 May 2014, OAO Zelenodolsk Shipyard held an official ceremony dedicated to the launch of a Project A217-1 passenger ship. The ceremony was attended by officials of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Government of Arkhangelsk Oblast, executives of Zelenodolsky District, executives of OAO Ak Bars Holding Company, Zelenodolsk Shipyard, OOO AGAT Design Bureau, and shipping companies.
The ceremony coincides with the celebrations of the 69th anniversary of WWII Victory.

Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov pays his compliments to veterans and to homefront workers of the Second World War on the occasion of the Victory Day and wishes them health, longevity, and well-being.

On 7 May 2014, OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim held the organisational meeting with the participation of officials of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, Administration of Nizhnekamsk District, and Trade Union Organisation of Workers of Russia’s Chemical Industry, dedicated to holding cultural events on 23 May 2014 related to Chemist’s Day celebration.

On 6 may 2014, Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade held the meeting chaired by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov dedicated to the issues of implementing the targeted programme ‘Labour productivity increase at enterprises of Tatarstan machine-building complex and petrochemical complex in 2013-2016’.

On the eve of the Victory Day, the staff of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade honours the veterans and to homefront workers of the Second World War. Care of our veterans, congratulations to them on the occasion of the Holiday of 9th May is one of the heart-warming traditions of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade.

On 6 May 2014, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov attended the meeting between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Director General of the German company RED Aircraft GmbH Vladimir Reichlin. The parties discussed issues of cooperation in aircraft industry, in particular, in the sphere of aircraft diesel engine production by RED Aircraft.

RED Aircraft (Reichlin Engine Development) R&D centre was established in Germany in 1955.

The company specialises in high technology aircraft engine development and provides full range of services varying from engineering to testing and production.

On 6 May 2014, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov attended the Tatarstan Cabinet briefing dedicated to the results of the visit of the Tatarstan delegation to Turkmenistan.
Turkmenistan is interested in launching facilities for processing and production of textiles at SEZ Alabuga.

Starting with 19 May 2014, Kazan Power Engineering University and Tatarstan Centre for Energy Saving Technologies under the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers launches training courses for representatives of organisations and public institutions responsible for energy saving and increasing energy efficiency under the auspices of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The aims of this training are to share information concerning State policy initiatives in the spheres of energy saving and increasing energy efficiency and professional training of executives and experts of the state budget sphere in tackling particular problems subject to compliance with the State policies in this field.

On 6 May 2014, Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers will hold a briefing meeting dedicated to the results of the visit of Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov to Turkmenistan.
Within the framework of the visit, Tatarstan delegation took part in the meeting between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimukhamedov, as well as in the B2B meetings attended by Turkmenistan public authorities and companies. During the meetings, the parties discussed the development prospects of their bilateral relations.

On 3 May 2014, within the framework of the visit of the Tatarstan delegation to Iraq, the meeting of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with Iraqi Kurdistan business community took place; it was attended by Consul General of the Russian Federation in Erbil Valery Pospelov, Aide to the President of Tatarstan for International and Foreign Economic Issues Radik Gimatdinov, Director General of OAO TATNEFT Nail Maganov, Director General of OAO KAMAZ Sergey Kogogin, Director General of OAO TAIF Albert Shigabutdinov and Marketing Director of Kazan Helicopters Valery Pashko.
The Tatarstan President emphasised that the aim of the visit is to extend economic, cultural and educational cooperation between Tatarstan and Kurdistan.
