On 16 May 2014, Tatarstan Prime Minister and Minister of industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov attended the meeting between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and the delegation of the Leaders Club of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives for the Advancement of New Projects. During the meeting, issues of investment climate improvement in Russia and Tatarstan were discussed.

From 16 May to 20 May 2014, Kazan will host the 2nd National Championship entitled WorldSkills Russia-2014. More than 480 young blue-collar workers aged 18 to 22 from 50 regions of Russia will take part in this professional skill competition. The winners will participate in the WorldSkills International European competition in September 2014.

From 13 May to 14 May 2014, Trade House Chelny-Khleb hosted the Business Forum of the Union of Independent Retail Chains of Russia in Naberezhnye Chelny entitled “Fresh and Domestic Production”. The Forum was attended by Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Rashat Fattakhov, international experts, more than 70 representatives of retail chains from 24 regions of Russia, including Nizhny Novgorod, Tolyatti, Izhevsk, Irkutsk, Ufa, Magnitogorsk, Ryazan, Velikiye Luki, Samara, Angarsk, Yekaterinburg, Murom, Nalchik, Penza, etc.
During the forum, development issues of Fresh-category trends were discussed.

On 14 May 2014, SEZ Alabuga launched a plant of RMA, a Germany-based company, for production of pipeline fittings. The opening ceremony was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, Director General of OOO Special Economic Zones Vadim Tretyakov, and RMA owner Andreas Truttenbach.

On 13 May 2014, Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade held the meeting between Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov with India’s delegation headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Russian Federation Pundi Srinivasan Raghavan. During the meeting, parties discussed topical issues for further development of bilateral cooperation.
Meeting also dealt with promising areas of bilateral cooperation in trade, economy and investment in machine-building, petrochemical, energy, pharmacy, and informational technologies areas.

On 13 May 2014, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov had a meeting with Chinese delegation from Hunan headed by Vice Chairman of Hunan Provincial Committee of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Wu Jihai. The meeting was attended by the Aide to the President of Tatarstan for International and Foreign Economic Issues Radik Gimatdinov, officials of public authorities and business community of Hunan province (Hunan Provincial Committee of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Hunan Provincial Development and Reform Commission, several Chinese companies, etc.), officials of Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Tatarstan industrial enterprises.
During the meeting held in Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation development.

On 13 May 2014, OAO KIP Master hosted the opening ceremony of OOO Kiekert Rus plant for car locks production in Naberezhnye Chelny. OOO Kiekert Rus is a resident of OOO KIP Master and is operated in Naberezhnye Chelny since April 2013. Two lines for manufacturing products for the GAZ Group have been launched. The line for Ford-Sollers locks production is under its commissioning stage.

On 13 May 2014, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov attended the meeting between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Russian Federation Pundi Srinivasan Raghavan.

On 11 May 2014, within the working trip of Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov to Kaliningradskaya Oblast, the parties signed the Action Plan on implementation the Agreement on cooperation between Tatarstan and Kaliningradskaya Oblast administration. The document was signed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and the Governor of Kaliningradskaya Oblast Nikolay Tsukanov.
The meeting was attended by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, Aide to the President of Tatarstan Radik Gimatdinov, the executive committee Chairman of the World Congress of Tatars Rinat Zakirov, and other dignitaries.

On 9 May 2014, Naberezhnye Chelny hosted the Victory Parade at the renovated Motherland Russia Memorial Complex Square.
Prior to the grand parade, officials of the city and management of enterprises and organisations kept the Memory Watch. Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, city Mayor Vasil Shaykhraziev, City Council deputies, executives of enterprises and organisations mounted main guard post.
The official ceremony ended with wreaths and flowers laying to the Eternal Flame memorial.
