From 29 May to 30 May 2014, Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov is visiting Turkey.
The delegation includes Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, Aide to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan for International and Foreign Economic Issues Radik Gimatdinov, heads of several Tatarstan municipal districts, officials of Tatarstan ministries and agencies.
The mission of the visit is to take part in the Tatarstan-Turkish Business Forum on 30 May 2014 in Mersin.
On 29 May 2014, Zelenodolsk Shipyard hosted the keel-laying ceremony of the Project 21631 fast attack guided missile craft. The official ceremony was attended by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Russian Deputy Minister of Defence Yuriy Borisov, Russian Navy Deputy Commander Rear Admiral Viktor Barsuk, officials of Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, Zelenodolsk Shipyard, Ak Bars Holding Company, etc.
Honoured guests and veterans installed the builder's plate at the ship’s hull. The ceremony was followed with granting awards to Zelenodolsk Shipyard employees.
On 28 May 2014, Kazan hosted the conference on energy efficient technologies of Danfoss with the participation of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Denmark in Russia Thomas Winkler.
At the conference, the Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Government of Tatarstan and Danfoss A/S. The Agreement provides for cooperation in the field of energy conservation and energy efficiency of public sector facilities, housing, various industries, including energy, capital construction, and housing and public utilities.
On 26 May 2014, the meeting dedicated to the issues of organising and holding the 2nd Republic’s Working Youth Creativity TV Festival ‘Nashe vremya – Beznen zaman’ was held under the chairmanship of Tatarstan Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov.
The meeting was attended by officials of Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, Tatarstan Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sport, Tatarstan Federation of Trade Unions, Tatarstan Council of Municipal Formations, Kazan Executive Committee, Tatarstan municipalities, Youth Social Organization Sozvezdie-Yoldyzlyk, and Tatarstan Youth Union of Enterprises and Organisations.
On 27 May 2014, the 30,000-th Ford Transit vehicle of the current generation rolled of the assembly line in Ford Sollers plant in Yelabuga.
The production of current generation Transit vehicles was launched in Ford Sollers plant in early 2012. Manufacturing of a new generation model will be launched at the company plant in Yelabuga in the 2nd half of 2014.
Ford Transit was the first vehicle to open the way to the full-scale production of other Ford vehicles in Tatarstan.
On 27 May 2014, results of the visit of Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov to China and participation of Tatarstan delegation in the St.Petersburg International Investment Forum were discussed at the briefing in the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers.
In the presence of Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping, the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Government of the Hunan Province have signed an Agreement on trade and economic, scientific and technology, and cultural cooperation. The signatories to the document were Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Hunan Province Governor Du Jiahao.On 26 May 2014, a Meeting of Economic Council under the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers saw the discussion about the impact of Russia’s accession to the WTO on Tatarstan economy.
The meeting was held in the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers in the format of a videoconference with municipal districts and was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, and Director of Department for Trade Negotiations of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development Maksim Medvedkov.
On 22 May 2014, Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the 18th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The forum was attended by Russia’s President Vladimir Putin.
During the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation between OAO TAIF and General Electric Company was signed in the presence of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
On 20 May 2014, within the framework of his visit to Shanghai, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, as a member of the Russia’s official delegation, attended the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping.
In the presence of Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping, the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Government of the Hunan Province have signed an Agreement on trade and economic, scientific and technology, and cultural cooperation. On 23 May 2014, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov attended the Chemist’s Day celebration. The best representatives of petrochemical industry were honoured at the event. They were awarded with prizes and gift certificates.
After the congratulations, Rustam Minnikhanov awarded the distinguished employees of Tatarstan petrochemical complex with the state decorations.
