On 11 August 2014, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov visited a new paint and finishing shop of Kazan Helicopters.
The costs of construction and outfitting of paint production process made up some RUB 467 million. Investments made it possible to increase the throughput by half as much, whereas the time for a helicopter painting cycle decreased from 9 to 5 days.On 11 August 2014, OOO Tasma launched a new prospective production, an output of heat shrinkable barrier film.

The festival was attended by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Long Range Aviation Commander Igor Khvorov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, United Aircraft Corporation Executive Vice President Aleksandr Tulyakov, executives and staff of aircraft enterprises, students and pupils, numerous residents and guests of Kazan and the republic. I Opt for the Sky Air Show was held for the first time at the airfield of the aviation plant.
During the entertainment programme, a concert programme was organised, biker performances were held, and master classes on parachute packing were performed for the holiday participants.On 9 August 2014, the Agreement was signed in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky on Trade and Economic, Scientific and Technical, Social and Cultural Cooperation. The signatories of the document were Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Kamchatkiy Krai Governor Vladimir Ilykhin.
The Agreement makes provision for cooperation in the sphere of transport, construction, silviculture, environmental protection and natural resource management, high technologies, tourism, education, international and interreligious relations, healthcare, physical culture and sport, youth policy, labour, employment and social safety of population.
Within the working trip to Kamchatka, Rustam Minnikhanov held a bilateral meeting with the Krai Governor and visited Lenin Kolkhoz Fish Farm. The meeting was held between Tatarstan President and members of Tatar and Bashkir community of the Krai. During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of manpower training in Kazan and supplying Kamchatka Tatars with textbooks and literature on the mother tongue.On 9 August 2014, the Borisoglebskoye airfield of KAPO n. a. Gorbunov, a branch of OAO Tupolev, is to hold the annual I Opt for the Sky Air Show under the umbrella of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
The aim of the air show is to promote engineering professions among children and youth.
The official air show opening ceremony will be attended by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, executives of leading aerospace enterprises and institutions of the republic.
On 6 August 2014, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, heads of major enterprises of Tatarstan took part in the meeting between the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the delegation of China for Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC) and its affiliated company Aerosun.
President Minnikhanov emphasized the ever increasing role of trade and economic relationship between Russia and China and once again acknowledged the intent of the Tatarstan leadership to foster relationship with China.
During the meeting the parties discussed the promising avenues of cooperation between Tatarstan and CASIC.On 5 August 2014, Kazan hosted the official ceremony of Aerospace Technologies, Advanced Materials and Equipment International Exhibition (AKTO).
The opening ceremony was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, President of OAO United Aircraft Corporation Mikhail Pogosyan, Director of Department on Strategic Development of Russia’s Ministry of Industry and Trade Vasiliy Osmakov, and two times Hero of the Soviet Union, Vice President of the Russian Astronautics Federation Aleksandr Aleksandrov.
The exhibition was attended by representatives of a hundred companies and organisations from Russia’s regions and foreign countries.
