Agreement on cooperation signed between Tatarstan and Kamchatka Krai

On 9 August 2014, the Agreement was signed in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky on Trade and Economic, Scientific and Technical, Social and Cultural Cooperation. The signatories of the document were Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Kamchatkiy Krai Governor Vladimir Ilykhin.

The Agreement makes provision for cooperation in the sphere of transport, construction, silviculture, environmental protection and natural resource management, high technologies, tourism, education, international and interreligious relations, healthcare, physical culture and sport, youth policy, labour, employment and social safety of population.

Within the working trip to Kamchatka, Rustam Minnikhanov held a bilateral meeting with the Krai Governor and visited Lenin Kolkhoz Fish Farm. The meeting was held between Tatarstan President and members of Tatar and Bashkir community of the Krai. During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of manpower training in Kazan and supplying Kamchatka Tatars with textbooks and literature on the mother tongue.
