On 2 September 2014, the new building of Kazan National Research Technical University hosted an opening ceremony of the German-Russian Institute of Advanced Technologies.

The meeting included the discussion of current issues and promising areas of cooperation between the General Electric and the republic’s enterprises.
Within the framework of the meeting, representatives of General Electric reported on joint project implemented or being implemented between the company and Tatarstan enterprises.On 29 August 2014, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov attended the meeting between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea in Moscow Wi Sung-lac.
Wi Sung-lac visited Tatarstan on the occasion of the All-Russia Taekwondo Tournament, sponsoring prizes for this event.On 29 August 2014, Zelenodolsk Shipyard hosted the official keel-laying ceremony of the eighth Project 21631 small missile boat.
The event was attended by the Head of Ingushetia Yunus-bek Yevkurov, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy Viktor Chirkov, Commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet Aleksandr Vitko, Commander of Caspian Flotilla Ildar Akhmerov, officials of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, Zelenodolsky District, executives of Ak Bars Holding Company, and Zelenodolsky Shipyard.
Project 21631 small missile boats designed by OAO Zelenodolsk Design Bureau are being built by Gorky Shipyard for the Russian Navy since 2010.On 25 August 2014, within the framework of the working trip to the Leninogorsk District, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov attended manufacturing workshops of the OOO RosNefteKomplekt. The President was accompanied by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Foodstuffs Marat Akhmetov, Tatarstan Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration Asgat Safarov, Head of the Leninogorsk District Ryagat Khusainov, and Director General of OAO Tatneft Nail Maganov.
The executives of the enterprise reported about activities of the company and projects being implemented, social policies of the enterprise, and special training of skilled personnel for working with new high-tech equipment.
