Today, the Directorate of Tatenergosbyt held a meeting of its Board of Directors chaired by Ildar Khalikov, Director General of the Tatenergo Management Company.

The meeting began with a discussion on the results of Tatenergosbyt activities in the 1st quarter of 2017, including the profit and loss budget performance, status of receivables and payables, and the use of net profits.

Further, the Board of Directors approved the submitted capital investment programme of Tatenergosbyt for 2017 and reviewed the project activities of the company.

Apart from these issues, the participants discussed the opportunity of remotely collecting electricity consumption data at multiple family dwellings: more than 4,500 (27%) of houses in Tatarstan are connected to the Grid Company system, through which the data of communal metering devices are automatically transferred to Tatenergosbyt.

At the end of the meeting, the members of the Board of Directors thanked the executives of Tatenergosbyt for their good teamwork and expressed the hope that, in future, the company would not only manage to improve its performance and to keep its leading position in the rating of Russia’s power supply companies, but would also bring Tatarstan to the international level as the most energy-efficient region.

The first trolleybus manufactured by NEFAZ, a subsidiary of KAMAZ in Bashkiria, was presented in Ufa.

The new trolleybus is a joint project of NEFAZ and the Ufa Tram and Trolleybus Plant (UTTZ). A robust frame body equipped with a reliable undercarriage and steering control is made at the Neftekamsk Automotive Plant, while its electrical equipment is installed by the UTTZ.

The trolleybuses jointly manufactured by NEFAZ and UTTZ differ from models already existing in the Russian market both in consumer properties and in price, which is an important criterion in their favour. The new mid-floor trolleybus is several million roubles cheaper than the existing models in Russia, so there is a good opportunity to retrofit trolleybus parks in Ufa and other cities for less money.

To date, there is a standing order for 80 trolleybuses. The new vehicles are of foremost interest in the regions of Central Russia. The trolleybus will appear in the streets of Ufa after passing the certification. It is planned that the residents of the Bashkir capital can assess the new NEFAZ-based vehicle at work as early as this August.

At the Ford Sollers plant in Yelabuga, the 15,000th Ford Explorer came off the assembly line. The most popular SUV in the United States for decades, Ford Explorer has gained wide popularity in Russia, largely owing to a serious vehicle’s adaptation programme for the domestic market.

The jubilee Ford Explorer is a Limited Plus model in Frozen White colour, equipped with a V6 Cyclone engine rated at 3.5 litres (249 hp) and a 6-speed automatic transmission. This Ford Explorer model is also equipped with a number of driver assistance systems (adaptive cruise control, blind spot information system, and lane keeping system).

The legendary SUV is the most capacious in the Ford SUV line in Russia: it can comfortably accommodate 7 people, with the third row of folding seats included in the basic equipment of the vehicle. Due to the efforts of the own R & D centre of Ford Sollers, a lot of changes have been made to the design of the American SUV that made its operation more convenient in Russian conditions.

The standard package of its safety features includes a complete set of airbags, including the knee one and curtains for seats of all rows, as well as electronic systems of traction control, driving stability, and assistance when starting uphill.

Works on the reconstruction of low-voltage equipment will be carried out in a number of settlements, such as Utyz Imyan, Nizhniy Chegodai, Ulyanovka of the Cheremshan District, and Yultimorovo of the Leninogorsk District of Tatarstan. The concept of renovating the power distribution systems in rural settlements was adopted by decision of the company's management. According to Farit Zakirov, BEG Chief Engineer, the long-term programme is aimed at critical renovation of the power grid infrastructure using innovative technologies, brand new equipment, and is also dictated by customer-oriented policies aimed at consumers’ comfort and striving for international standards of power supply reliability and continuity.

Despite the fact that the repair season has started only recently, the reconstruction of power transmission lines is almost complete in the Nizhny Chegodai village. A small village inhabited by about 200 residents (with an elementary school and a rural health post) is located in a few kilometres from the Cheremshan District centre. The power lines there were built in the 1960s. Over these years, wooden supports have significantly worn out, some of them have tilted, and their operational status was maintained by reinforcing them with concrete add-ons. A similar upgrade of the electric grid equipment has been carried out in the Utyz Imyan village.
