Starting from 2019, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development and Trade will provide, within the framework of the national project titled “SMEs and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiatives”, subsidies to management companies of industrial technology parks, both publicly and privately owned.

Subsidies will be provided for up to 2 years in the amount of up to RUB 500 million for the creation / reconstruction of municipal, industrial and technology infrastructure of industrial technology parks, as well as for the purchase of equipment for their residents. Industrial technoparks are an effective tool for managing the excess space at major industrial enterprises, and also allow meeting the demand of small and medium-sized businesses in equipped office, laboratory, and production premises.

In the 2nd quarter of 2019, it is planned to conduct a preliminary selection of applications from industrial technology parks. In order to inform representatives of existing and newly created industrial technoparks and potential investors, as well as to ensure high quality of preparing applications for subsidies, the Association of Clusters and Technology Parks of Russia, jointly with the Russian Ministry of Economic Development and Trade will hold a workshop “Effective Technopark: Support Measures and Practical Solutions”. The workshop will be held on November 23, 2018 in the Congress Centre Technopolis Moscow within the framework of the 3rd Annual Applied Conference “Industrial Russia 4.0: Improving Regional Competitiveness”.

The government delegation from Tatarstan headed by the Tatarstan President is on a two-day visit to the People's Republic of China. The delegation includes officials from several republic’s ministries and agencies.

Within the framework of the working visit, Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov went to GSK CNC Equipment Co. Ltd. (GSK), a manufacturing company specialising in the production of industrial automation. A tour of the company was personally conducted by the director of the company's investment development, Ms. Feng Baoxuan.

The delegation saw workshops for the production of CNC machine tools, automatic control systems, and injection moulding machines. The GSK has currently become a large reputable high-tech company with more than 1,700 skilful employees and 500 professional engineers, achieving over 50% sales in China CNC industry market.

The Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre saw today the opening ceremony of the regional Young Professionals competition (WorldSkills Russia) with the participation of representatives from relevant ministries and agencies. The competition was launched by WorldSkills International CEO David Hoey.

This year, the regional competition will be held on 83 skills of WorldSkills and 53 skills of WorldSkills Junior, involving more than 2,000 contestants and experts.

The competition’s organisers are the Tatarstan Government, the Young Professionals Union (WorldSkills Russia), the Professional Skills Development Centre, and the Directorate for Sports and Social Projects.

The closing ceremony of the first stage of the competition will be held on November 17, 2018. Following the results of the regional competition, the composition of the expanded WorldSkills team of Tatarstan will be updated and the participants of the Semi-finals and Final of the 7th National WorldSkills Russia Competition 2019 in Kazan will be determined.

The regional Young Professionals competition (WorldSkills Russia) started today in Kazan.

The participants to the competition are contestants of five teams (two participants in each team) from Almetyevsk, Naberezhnye Chelny, Bugulma, Chistopol, and Zelenodolsk.

The industrial skills programme and competition for prizes started today on the premises of colleges, with the participation of contestants, juniors and in the presence of guests, officials, and representatives of major republic’s enterprises. In total, 31 skills are assigned to the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade.

At the ceremonial event, Head of Chemicals and Petrochemicals Dept. at the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade Ruslan Sikorsky said: “In our country, the review of professional skills has already established itself as a spectacular, large-scale, significant event for the entire country. It is important that WorldSkills contributes to increasing the prestige of working professions, motivates young people to achieve professional success”.

The official opening of the regional competition will take place tomorrow, November 14, 2018, at the specially prepared Kazan Expo site.

Today in the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, Deputy Minister German Lerner met with representatives of the Association of Italian Industrialists and Entrepreneurs as part of their visit to Tatarstan. The delegation is headed by Director General of Confindustria Russia Alfredo Gozzi. Confindustria Russia is engaged in promoting Italian businesses to the Russian market. The Italian delegation also included top executives from various industry companies specialising in manufacturing and services for large industrial holdings. In particular, Assolombarda (association of industrialists in Lombardy), NEC S.r.l. (engineering company accompanying oil and gas projects), Fores Engineering S.r.l. (design, development, and supply of integrated automation systems for petrochemical industry), Forain S.r.l., SPIN, Livolsi e Conforti, and others.

During the meeting, points of mutual interest and business relations development were identified between the regions of Italy and Tatarstan on the issues of expanding supplies of petrochemicals and engineering products, as well as development of relations in the investment and innovation production spheres, in the fields of high technologies and SMEs.

Today, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan hosted a meeting of the Council for Tatarstan Government Quality Awards 2018. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister Ildar Mingaleyev.

The Council is traditionally composed of top officials from republic’s ministries and agencies. At the meeting, participants openly determined the winners and runners-up in Business Excellence and Production Systems categories. The date of the award ceremony will be decided after the relevant Resolution is signed by Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin.

An open republic’s contest for Tatarstan Government Quality Award was established by a Resolution of the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers No. 198 dated April 4, 2003. The awards are presented annually on a competitive basis to enterprises and organisations for achieving significant results in the field of product and service quality, ensuring their safety, as well as for introducing highly efficient methods of quality management.

The quality award contest is hosted by the republic for the fourteenth time. More than 1000 enterprises and organisations took part in the contest throughout its existence. It is aimed at improving the quality of domestic goods and services, increasing their competitiveness in the domestic and foreign markets.

Today, Minister Karimov met with representatives of the Cotton Way company (Moscow). The business meeting dealt with company's plans to localise its production facilities in the republic. Cotton Way is a leader of the Russia’s services market for rental and professional handling of textiles.

On November 9 and 10, a delegation of the Krasnoyarsk Krai headed by its Governor Aleksandr Uss is having a working visit to the Republic of Tatarstan. Representatives of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade as an agency in charge for interregional cooperation accompany the Krasnoyarsk delegation throughout the visit.

The main purpose of the visit is to participate in the torch relay events in Kazan in honour of the 29th Winter Universiade 2019 to be held in Krasnoyarsk.

The visit programme comprises a meeting with the Kazan Mayor, while the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency will host a presentation of the economic potential in Tatarstan. In order to study the experience of employing the Summer Universiade heritage, the delegation will visit the Kazan Arena football stadium and see other international-class sports facilities and public spaces.

On the second day of the visit, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov is scheduled to meet with Krasnoyarsk Krai Governor Aleksandr Uss, as well as to participate jointly in the finish of the cross-country relay and lighting the Universiade Cauldron in front of the KFU’s Main Building. The event will also be attended by Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov.

Within the framework of the working visit by the delegation of Tatarstan headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov to the Tomsk Oblast, a meeting was held with Tomsk Oblast Governor Sergey Zhvachkin. Minister Karimov also took part in the Tatarstan Government delegation programme.

In the course of the visit, the following bilateral documents were signed:

- Agreement for Trade and Economic, Scientific and Technology, Social and Cultural Cooperation and its Action Plan;

- Cooperation Agreement between the Tatarstan Ministry of Forestry and the Tomsk Oblast Department of Forestry;

- Cooperation Agreement between RariTEK and Tomskavtotrans.

In Moscow, a loan agreement was signed between POZIS, a part of the Tecmash Concern (Rostec Corporation), and the Industrial Development Fund. The loan proceeds will be used to upgrade the enterprise’s facilities for increasing the production of household and medical refrigeration equipment.

The IDF’s loan to POZIS in the amount of RUB 750 million was granted within the Conversion programme framework. In August, the IDF Expert Council approved the enterprise’s project according to which the company plans to master the production of new refrigeration appliances of high energy efficiency classes with electronic control units, to be resulted in the annual output of up to 600,000 appliances by 2021.

The investment project was officially announced in September 2018 and is carried out within the development strategy for Rostec’s conventional weapons, ammunition, and special chemicals cluster, as well as the development strategy of POZIS until 2025.

POZIS has been producing refrigeration equipment since 1959, all the time combining the production of its core products and civilian goods. In recent years, refrigeration, professional, and medical equipment accounted for over 90% of the company's civilian goods.
