On November 1 to 2, within the framework of the World Quality Day and the European Quality Week, the 5th International Conference “Quality as the Basis for Competitiveness of the Present-Day Automotive Industry” is being held in Naberezhnye Chelny on the premises of KAMAZ.

The conference is supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, KAMAZ, the Technical Secretariat of the Council for the Tatarstan Government's Quality Awards, the Academy of Standardisation, Metrology, and Certification, the Russian Register Association, and the Volga Quality Centre Group of Independent Companies.

The event is attended by major vehicle assembly enterprises of Russia and the CIS countries, leading Russian and foreign quality management experts, manufacturers of automotive components, and experts of certification authorities.

Today, the 12th All-Russian Open Youth Applied Research Conference “Dispatching and Management in the Electric Power Industry” was held on the premises of the Kazan State Power Engineering University. The event is supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Education and Science of Tatarstan, the Tatarstan Regional Dispatching Office of the Unified Energy System, and the TGK-16.

The conference was attended by young employees of the Tatarstan Regional Dispatching Office, FSK-EES, Russia’s grid and generating companies, as well as students, undergraduates and graduates of Russian and foreign technology universities. At the event, the participants discussed the latest developments in the electric power industry, shared their practical achievements and plans for the future. The conference will last until November 3, 2017.

The objectives of the conference are to attract students, undergraduates, graduates, and young scientists to solving urgent problems of present-day power industry, facilitate the integration of higher education and industry, develop and support scientific and technology potential of talented young people, display and discuss the latest scientific results of their researches and applied achievements in the field of electric power industry, develop and strengthen scientific relations between young employees and scientists.

On November 2-3, Kazan will saw the International Applied Research Conference titled “External Relations of the Russian Regions. Experience of the Republic of Tatarstan”, timed to the 25th anniversary of the republic’s first official foreign contacts.

The event is being held in preparation for the events to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic with an aim of identifying good practices of cross-border cooperation and discussing its prospects under current conditions. Its attendees are representatives of government authorities, international organisations, domestic and foreign scientific and educational establishments, and expert community.

During the conference, a round table discussion titled “On Creation of an Export Ecosystem in the Constituent Entities of the Russian Federation and Software for the Infrastructure of the Regional Export Standard” will be held on November 3 with the participation of Managing Director of Russian Export Centre for Coordination of Priority Projects Igor Shlonsky and representatives of the regions within the Volga Federal District. The round table discussion will be moderated by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Denis Valeyev.

Russian Helicopters Holding began testing the multi-purpose Ansat helicopter in Pakistan to confirm the possibility of operating the machine in high air temperatures.

At the moment, the helicopter has already started test flights. It is planned to expand the working temperature profile of Ansat up to + 50°C, so that the range will be from - 45°C to + 50°C.

The tests are scheduled for completion by mid-November. Following the tests, a conference for potential Pakistani helicopter buyers is expected in Islamabad to study its competitive advantages and operational features.

Ansat is a lightweight twin-engine multipurpose helicopter, the full-scale production of which is deployed at the Kazan Helicopters. In May 2015, the helicopter was certified with a medical module that meets all international standards of sanitary aviation and allows saving a person's life for the period of transportation. According to the helicopter’s certificate, its design allows to convert it into a cargo version or into a passenger rotorcraft that can lift up to seven people.

A press conference was held at the KAMAZ Press and Frame Plant, dedicated to the production of the 10-thousandth cab frame for a new model range of trucks.

The cabs of these series are installed on the entire family of advanced vehicles, including the popular KAMAZ-5490 tractor, KAMAZ-6580 and KAMAZ-65801 dump trucks, and others. The jubilee cab frame was one for the KAMAZ-5490 truck.

The KAMAZ Press Service noted that the production of 10,000 cab frames is the result of the well-coordinated work of a large team. Within the framework of the event, awards were delivered to employees of the Press and Frame Plant.

The order to open the Cab Project was signed in March 2013. In December the same year, the welding line for new cabs was put into operation. In the shortest time, new advanced equipment was installed, and in late 2013, the first 45 cab frames left the new assembly line. In mid-November of 2016, a five-thousandth cab frame was manufactured.

Today in Riyadh (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), the 5th Russian-Saudi Intergovernmental Commission for Trade, Economic, Scientific, and Technology Cooperation was opened. At the event, the Republic of Tatarstan is represented by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov.

Within two days, a delegation from Russia composed of over 60 top executives of Russian companies, including KAMAZ, Gazprom, Lukoil, Pipe Metallurgical Company, United Machine Building Plants, Russian Railways, Nevsky Machines, will visit the leading companies of Saudi Arabia and hold working consultations with representatives of key ministries and industry associations.

In addition, an expanded meeting of two countries’ business communities will be held with the participation of the officials from the Ministry of Commerce and Investment of Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation. During the meeting, major Russian companies will present their investment opportunities and take part in sectoral discussions and bilateral negotiations with their Saudi counterparts.
