The Tatarstan delegation led by Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, is visiting Leipzig as part of the visit to the Free State of Saxony. Rustam Minnikhanov made a speech at the official opening of the exhibition fairs related to mechanical engineering and automotive components production “Z/Intec 2011” in the Leipzig Fair. He emphasized that “Tatarstan-Saxon cooperation is a prime example of regions’ cooperation; it makes an important contribution to Russian-German relations”.

On 26 February 2011, Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov took part in the wrap up meeting of the Council of Aktanysh municipality on “Social and economic development of the district in 2010 and goals for 2011”. Addressing the meeting participants Ravil Zaripov spoke about major results achieved in the Republic of Tatarstan and Aktanysh district in particular in 2010, underlined the goals faced by the executives in 2011 and the ways of achieving the set goals.

The Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov on the delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov is visiting Germany during the visit to the Free State of Saxony from February 27 to March 1, 2011.
The goal of the visit:
• Development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan (Russian Federation) and the Free State of Saxony (FRG);
• Implementation of the agreements reached in the course of the visit of delegation of the Free State of Saxony headed by Sven Morlok, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy, Labour and Transport of Saxony, to the Republic of Tatarstan in October, 2010.

On February 25, 2011 the Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Mingaleev met with the delegation of OAO Obyedinenniye Mashinostroitelniye Zavody (associated machine-building enterprises (OAO OMZ)) headed by Aleksey Rubtsov, Deputy Director General, Commercial Director of OAO OMZ. During the meeting held was a presentation of production and technological potential of the enterprises, amalgamated under OAO OMZ Corporation. The parties discussed the current issues and prospects for cooperation.

On February 24, 2011 the Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov met with the delegation from the Republic of Bulgaria. The parties discussed the current status and the prospects of bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation.

On 24 February 2011, the Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov met with Leonid Sorkin, Director for Strategy and Development in Eastern Europe and CIS Countries of Honeywell Process Solutions (USA) in Moscow. The parties discussed the current issues and prospects for cooperation.

On 22 February 2011, Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov took part in joint meeting held between council of Nizhnekamsk municipality and council of Nizhnekamsk city chaired by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. The participants of the meeting considered the results of the efforts in 2010 of Nizhnekamsk District which is one of the largest industrial hubs of the Republic of Tatarstan.

On 21 February 2011, Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov presented the Letter of Award of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade to Press Secretary Tatyana Zavalishina.
Ravil Zaripov thanked T. Zavalishina for her fruitful work and high professionalism that she displayed during her work at the Ministry and wished her every success in creative plans at her new place of employment.

On 18 February 2011, Tupolev Kazan State Technical University hosted a meeting with the participation of the representatives of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Tatarstan Ministry of Education and Science, the enterprises of the engineering and defence complexes of the Republic of Tatarstan, and the executives of the Tupolev Kazan State Technical University. During the meeting, the parties discussed the organisational issues and regulations of target admission to the universities of the Republic of Tatarstan in 2011 and considered the implementation procedures of target admission.
