А joint venture Mercedes-Benz Trucks Vostok with the participation of OAO KAMAZ and the German automaker Daimler AG officially launched assembly line of Mercedes-Benz trucks in Naberezhnye Chelny. The official opening ceremony of the production line was attended by Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan; Ulrich Brandenburg, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Russia; Ravil Zaripov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan; Andreas Renschler, Member of the Management Board of Daimler AG, Head of Daimler Trucks; Sergey Chemezov, General Director of Rostechnology; Sergey Kogogin, General Director of OJSC KAMAZ; Vasil Shayhraziev, Mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny; and Boris Billy, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Trucks Vostok.

On 12 March 2011, Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov participated in the meeting between President Rustam Minnikhanov and Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin. During the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov and Sergei Sobyanin signed the Agreement on Trade and Economic, Scientific and Technical, Social and Cultural Cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and Moscow.

On 11 March 2011, Ravil Zaripov, Minister of Industry and Trade, took part in the meeting of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with Pirelli Group Chairman Marco Tronchetti. The meeting held at the Office of KAMAZ was visited by Sergey Chemezov, Director General of the Russian Technologies State Corporation, and Shafagat Takhautdinov, Director General of OAO TATNEFT.

On 12 March 2011, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin made a working trip to the Republic of Tatarstan.
In the Kazan International Airport, Sergey Sobyanin was met by Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ravil Zaripov, Minister of Industry and Trade, and Ilsur Metshin, Mayor of Kazan.

On 9 March 2011, Ildar Mingaleyev, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, met with Mrs. Margaret Tumi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia to the Russian Federation. The parties discussed the current issues and prospects for cooperation.

On 9 March, 2011 Ravil Zaripov, Minister of Industry and Trade met with John Sloan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to the Russian Federation. The parties discussed urgent issues and perspective directions of bilateral cooperation.

In the period of 2 - 4 March 2011, the 11th meeting of Joint Russian-Turkish Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation (IGC) took place in Kazan. Igor Sechin, Vice Chairman of the Russian Government, led the Russian delegation. The head of the Turkish delegation was Taner Yildiz, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey.
In the period of 2-3 March 2011, joint working groups were operating under the Commission on: trade and contractual basis improvement, energy, transport and transport construction, industry, high technologies, small and medium enterprise and standardization, tourism; customs, agriculture, regional cooperation and cooperation in space research.

On 2-4 March 2011, Tupolev Kazan State Technical University hosted All-Russia Competition in Public Relations as part of the “PR days in Kazan” project. Yet once again professors, students, well-known Russian PR experts in theory and practice got together from various regions of Russia.
