On 24 May 2011, a meeting of the Committee for Modernization and Technological Development of Russian Economy was held under the chairmanship of Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev.

On 24 May 2011, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan held a meeting dedicated to the preparedness of the capital’s retail markets to what the Federal Law 271-FZ dated 30.12.2006 “On Retail Markets and Introduction of Amendments to the Labour Code of the Russian Federation” stipulates in its provisions.

On 31 May 2011, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan initiated the republic’s campaign “Non-Smoking Tatarstan” confined to the World No Tobacco Day. The campaign is held at the consumer market enterprises of the republic.

In the period of 20 to 21 May 2011, the delegation of the Republic of Bashkortostan headed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Bashkortostan Marat Mulyukov is making a working visit to the Republic of Tatarstan.

In the period of 17-19 May 2011, the official delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic headed by Speaker of Parliament Akhmatbek Keldibekov makes a working visit to the Republic of Tatarstan

On 16 to 17 May 2011, public catering enterprises of the republic are involved in the Days of National Cuisine of Tatarstan ethnic groups. These activities are initiated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan and are conducted together with municipalities’ executive committees of the cities and districts of Tatarstan.

On 14 May 2011, the Administrative-Business Centre of the SEZ Alabuga hosted a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Special Economic Zone Alabuga. The meeting was attended by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Director General of JSC Special Economic Zones Oleg Kostin.

On 14 May 2011, the staff of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in the National Tree Planting Day event.

In the period of 12 to 14 April 2011, the delegation of the Republic of India, headed by Shri Anil Trigunayat, Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of India to the Russian Federation, is visiting the Republic of Tatarstan. In the course of the visit the parties discussed the follow-up and prospects of bilateral cooperation development in the sphere of trade and economy, culture and education.
