On 12 April 2016, Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade hosted a meeting of the organising committee of the 2nd Republic`s Festival-Contest “National Trademark of the Republic of Tatarstan”. The meeting was attended by Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade and Deputy Chairman of the organising committee of the Festival Rashat Fattakhov, representatives of the Tatarstan Presidential Administration, Office of the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, Council of Municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan, Tatarstan Ministry of Agriculture and Food, Tatarstan State Committee on Tourism, National Agency for Press and Mass Communications “Tatmedia”, Rospotrebnadzor (Federal Service on Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing) of the Republic of Tatarstan, Office of the Rosselkhoznadzor (Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance) of the Republic of Tatarstan, FBU Tatarstan Centre for Standardisation, Metrology and Certification, Main Veterinary Directorate of the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, State Alcoholic Inspection of the Republic of Tatarstan, GUP National Trademark, and Executive Committee of the Almetyevsk Municipal District.

During the meeting, the participants discussed organisational issues of the regional stage of the 2nd Republic`s Festival-Contest “National Trademark of the Republic of Tatarstan” to be held on 30 April 2016 in Almetyevsk.

On 12 April 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov held a meeting during which the participants discussed the draft State programme “Development of Manufacturing Industries in the Republic of Tatarstan for 2016-2020” and the concept of creating Industry Development Fund.

The meeting was attended by top officials of ministries and agencies of the republic, Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Tatarstan Association of Enterprises and Entrepreneurs.

On 12 April 2016, Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers hosted a briefing on the results of the working visit of the Tatarstan delegation to the Republic of Hungary and the Czech Republic.

The briefing was attended by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Chairman of the Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shamil Ageyev, and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars Rinat Zakirov.

Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov emphasised that the working visits to the Czech Republic and the Republic of Hungary are a strong base for development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and the Czech Republic and the Republic of Tatarstan and the Republic of Hungary in various areas.

On 11 April 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov and Secretary of the Tatarstan Security Council Ayrat Shafigullin held a joint meeting of the Committee to Combat Illicit Trafficking of Industrial Products in Tatarstan and Coordination Meeting on Law and Order Insurance in the Republic of Tatarstan.

During the meeting held in the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, the participants discussed measures to prevent product turnover with illegal use of PAO KAMAZ trademark, as well as the illicit trafficking of products in the pharmaceutical and medical industries.

Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov congratulated residents of Tatarstan on Cosmonautics Day.

“Dear residents of Tatarstan, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and on my personal behalf, let me wholeheartedly congratulate you on Cosmonautics Day!

For the inhabitants of our republic this holiday is of particular importance. Many enterprises of the Kazan military and industrial sector used to create devices for spacecraft. The capital of Tatarstan is associated with the names of the chief designers of spacecraft: Sergey Korolyov, Valentin Glushko, and space microbiologist Vasily Parin”, Ildar Khalikov said.

“Let future generations remember their history, broaden the boundaries of their knowledge, and make cosmic scale discoveries!”

On 11 April 2016, in his speech during the plenary session of the 6th Annual Investment Forum AIM-2016 in Dubai, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the Republic of Tatarstan was searching for new opportunities for cooperation with Southeast Asian countries.

On 9 April 2016, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited sites of the regional Championship “Young Professionals” (WorldSkills Russia 2016) of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The President was accompanied by Head of the Presidential Administration Asgat Safarov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education and Science Engel Fattakhov, and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.

The guests learnt about activities of the contestants, estimated articles produced by them within the championship, and talked to contestants and experts.

On 8 April 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov participated in the meeting between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Peter Siyyarto that was held in Budapest.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Peter Siyyarto said that Hungarian Government pays a lot of attention to cooperation between Hungary and the Russian Federation and its regions.

In turn, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the Hungarian authorities for their attention to Tatarstan and their interest in cooperation with it. Today, it is important to have trusted partners, he said, and we consider your country to be an old trusted friend.

Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his gratitude for the opening of the Hungarian Consulate General in Kazan and noted the productive work of the Consul General.

On 8 April 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov took part in the Hungarian-Tatarstan Business Forum in Budapest (Hungary).

Rustam Minnikhanov told about Tatarstan economy and main large-scale projects that are currently being implemented in the Republic of Tatarstan. As one of the main areas he mentioned Kama Innovative Territorial Production Cluster INNOKAM.

On 7-8 April 2016, the Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov is paying a working visit to the Republic of Hungary. The Tatarstan delegation comprises Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, officials and executives of ministries, agencies, and companies of the Republic of Tatarstan.

On his arrival to Budapest, Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by officials laid a wreath at the Memorial to Soviet Soldiers.

Within the framework of the visit, Tatarstan leadership will have meetings with representatives of the Hungarian Government, including the Minister of Human Capacities of Hungary Zoltan Balog, State Secretary for Economic Development and Regulation Istvan Lepshenyi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Siyyarto, and Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban.
