On 27 April 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov participated in the plenary session of the 16th Russian Venture Fair and the 11th Kazan Venture Fair.
Addressing the participants of the forum, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov noted that this style of communication has a good track record. Russian and Kazan venture fairs are annually visited by a great number of participants from Russia and foreign countries to share experience and discuss a variety of issues.
In conclusion, Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his gratitude to all participants of this event. “To date, the site of Russian and Kazan venture fairs reached a level at which we can speak of creating a full-fledged international centre. I am sure we can work it out,” added the Tatarstan President.
On 27 April 2016, Zelenodolsk Shipyard hosted the ceremonial launching of a Gepard 3.9-class frigate intended for the Naval Forces of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. This is the first frigate from the second contract for the construction of this type of vessels.
The official ceremony was attended by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Deputy Head of the First Department Board of Navy at AO Rosoboronexport Aleksandr Struzhanov, and Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army Pham Ngoc Minh.
On 27 April 2016, official opening ceremony of the 16th Russian Venture Fair and the 11th Kazan Venture Fair was held in Kazan. The event was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Assistant to the Russia’s President Andrey Fursenko, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Managing Director of the Russian Venture Capital Association Albina Nikkonen, Director General of OAO Russian Venture Company Igor Agamirzyan, etc.

During the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his gratitude to Irish colleagues for their interest in the 16th Russian Venture Fair and the 11th Kazan Venture Fair that will start on 27 April 2016.
According to Rustam Minnikhanov, cooperation between Ireland and Tatarstan can be mutually beneficial in high technologies, innovations, IT, electronics, pharmaceutics, and agriculture.
In turn, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Ireland to the Russian Federation Adrian McDaid stated that he attaches great importance to cooperation development between Ireland and Russia. He noted that the Irish delegation arrived to Kazan both to participate in the 16th Russian Venture Fair and the 11th Kazan Venture Fair and study opportunities for cooperation development in various areas.
On 26 April 2016, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Ireland to the Russian Federation Adrian McDaid arrived to Tatarstan.
The Ambassador was welcomed at the Kazan International Airport by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov.

On 25 February 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov held a working meeting on improving the arrangement and holding of the republic’s Best Goods and Services of the Republic of Tatarstan Contest and Contest for Quality Awards of the Tatarstan Government.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, State Regional Centre for Standardisation, Metrology and Testing in the Republic of Tatarstan, and NP Volga Quality Centre.
During the meeting, participants considered proposals on improving the arrangement and holding of republic’s contests aimed to promoting competitive republic’s products on domestic and foreign markets.

We are opened for mutually beneficial cooperation and prepared for the expansion of our ties within the Russian-Latvian relations”.
Representatives of the Latvian business community in light industry, tourism and logistics told briefly about their companies and offered options for the development of cooperation with Tatarstan.
