On 25 May 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov took part in the meeting chaired by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov on holding the first Composite Battle World Cup Kazan 2016.

On 25 May 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov took part in the annual meeting of shareholders of OAO Tatneftekhiminvest-holding. The meeting was chaired by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.

During the meeting, the participants elected 25 members for new composition of the Board of Directors.

The new Board of Directors immediately elected Rustam Minnikhanov as its chairman and extended the term of office of Rafinat Yarullina as the Director General of Tatneftekhiminvest-holding.

On 25 May 2016, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has held the meeting of the Board of Directors of PAO Tatneft.

During the meeting, participants have considered the results of budget performance for the first four months of 2016, approved the budget for June 2016, and discussed results of financial and economic activities for the Q1 of 2016.

On 24 May 2016, Kostroma Automotive Component Plant was visited by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. He was accompanied by Governor of the Kostroma Oblast Sergey Sitnikov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, and other officials.

During the meeting, participants of the meeting and top executives of the company discussed various opportunities for development of cooperation.

On 24 May 2016, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov during his working trip to Kostroma has met with representatives of the National Cultural Autonomy of Tatars. The meeting was attended by Head of the region Sergey Sitnikov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars Rinat Zakirov, and top officials and representatives of the National Cultural Autonomy of Tatars of Kostroma Oblast.

During the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov and tatars from Kostroma have discussed the issues of native language preservation, development of traditional confessions of Islam, and combatting any demonstration of extremism.

Tatarstan and Kostroma Oblast have good opportunities for developing trade and economic ties. This was stated today by Governor of the Kostroma Oblast Sergey Sitnikov during the meeting. The meeting was also attended by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars Rinat Zakirov, representatives of major industrial enterprises of Tatarstan, and business community of the Kostroma Oblast.

Sergey Sitnikov noted that for many years Tatarstan and Kostroma Oblast are having a close fellowship. “Today’s task is to develop our social and economic ties. We apply expertise of Tatarstan in attracting investments”, he said.

On 24 May 2016, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov during his working trip to the Kostroma Oblast has learnt about the activities of the largest in Russia PAO Krasnoselsky Yuvelirprom, a jewelry company. He was accompanied by Head of the region Sergey Sitnikov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, and others.

Krasnoselsky jewelers create high-quality articles from alloys of gold, silver, and non-ferrous metals, jewelry, religious items, souvenirs made of precious and non-ferrous metals, and ware.

On 23 May 2016, Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov is having a two day working visit in Kostroma. Tatarstan delegation comprises Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars Rinat Zakirov, and representatives of major industrial enterprises of Tatarstan.

During the visit it is scheduled that Rustam Minnikhanov and Sergey Sitnikov will sign Action Plan for the Implementation of the Agreement between the Republic of Tatarstan and Kostroma Oblast on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical, Social, and Cultural Cooperation.

On 23 May 2016, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has participated in the official opening ceremony of the first in Russia Plant of Modern Packing. The enterprise has been built at Technopolis Himgrad. The plant is capable of producing 44 million box-type bags. Rustam Minnikhanov learned about the operation of the new enterprise.

During the official opening ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated everyone on this event and noted that the main task today was import substitution.

On 23 May 2016, Naberezhnye Chelny hosted a plenary session of the 3d International Scientific and Applied Conference “Partnership for Cluster Development” with the participation of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. The conference was attended by representatives of many constituent entities of the Russian Federation such as Samara Region, Kirov Region, Rostov Region, Republic of Bashkortostan, and others.
