On 31 May 2016, the Tatarstan House of Government hosted a meeting following the results of activities of Tatarstan’s small oil companies in Q1 of 2016. It was chaired by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
The meeting was attended by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, representatives of the Tatarstan Presidential Administration, top officials of ministries and agencies, and small and large companies in Tatarstan.
Since the beginning of this year, Tatarstan oil industry has produced 8,615 million tonnes, or 104.7% as compared to the previous year.
Tatarstan small oil companies have produced 1,768 million tonnes of oil, which is by 138,000 tonnes more than planned.
On 31 May 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov had a meting with the delegation from Norway headed by Leidulv Atle Namtvedt, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Norway in the Russian Federation.
During the meeting, parties made presentations of the industrial and investment potential of Tatarstan and Norway and then discussed promising areas for trade and economic cooperation between Tatarstan and Norway.
Albert Karimov answered the questions of representatives of Norwegian business community. He expressed confidence that the ongoing visit of the Norwegian delegation to Tatarstan would further strengthen the relations between Tatarstan and Norway.
Russia and Norway have old-established fruitful relations, and Tatarstan is willing to develop them in various areas. These are the words the Tatarstan President said while greeting the delegation.
The participants of the meeting from the Norway side were Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Norway in the Russian Federation Leidulv Namtvedt, Embassy’s Counsellor for Economic Affairs Stephanie Bjoro, Embassy’s Counsellor for Trade Frode Mo, Embassy’s Counsellor for Education, Science and Technology Sverre Rustad, Embassy’s Counsellor for Energy and Ecology Lars Lunden, Executive Director of the Norwegian-Russian Chamber of Commerce Jarle Forbord, and representative of the Norwegian-Russian Chamber of Commerce from the Russian side Vladimir Bagreyev.
The delegation was welcomed in the Tatarstan House of Government by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education and Science Engel Fattakhov, and Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Information and Communication Roman Shaykhutdinov.
Tatarstan is interested in developing cooperation not only in oil and petrochemical sectors, oil processing, mechanical engineering, energy, innovation and IT-technologies, but also in education and science. Norway is interested in technologies of food industry and fish processing, and tourism.
The delegation from Norway brought to Tatarstan the exposition dedicated to the Soviet war prisoners that found themselves in the north state during the Great Patriotic War.
It is also scheduled to visit Innopolis and the Kazan Federal University.
System and constructive work has been arranged between Tatarstan and Rostekhnadzor. This was stated by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov during a working meeting with Deputy Head of the Federal Environmental, Industrial, and Nuclear Supervision Service (Rostekhnadzor) Aleksandr Rybas.
The meeting took place at the Tatarstan House of Government. It was attended by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Assistant to the Tatarstan President Rinat Sabirov, Head of the Volga Region Administration of Rostekhnadzor Boris Petrov, and Principal of the Kazan State Power Engineering University Edvard Abdullazyanov.
On 30 May 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov visited Kazan branch of Kama Plant of Polymeric Materials, where he learnt about the production processes and products of the enterprise.
Kama Plant of Polymeric Materials is one of the leading producers of flexible industrial packing and polymeric composites. The main production sites are in Kazan and Nizhnekamsk.
On 28 May 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov has participated in the meeting between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and members of the delegation from the Khabarovsk Krai.
During the meeting, the parties have discussed the issues of industrial sites creation, as well as improving the quality of life of the rural population, and the programmes implemented in this area both in Tatarstan and Khabarovsk Krai, including the construction of medical and obstetrical stations and other social facilities.
On 27 May 2016, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has chaired a plenary session of the Group of Strategic Vision “Russia-Islamic World”.
The meeting was attended by Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mikhail Bogdanov, President of the Islamic Development Bank Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali Al-Madani, and others.
Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his gratitude to the Presidential Administration of Russia and the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their assistance in conducting and holding of this event and thanked the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, the Islamic Development Bank, and other partners for their support to many initiatives.
On 26 May 2016, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has taken part in the official event devoted to celebration of the Chemist`s Day. The official celebration was held in the Neftekhimik Ice Palace in Nizhnekamsk.
Prior to the event, Rustam Minnikhanov inspected the exhibition exposition of enterprises of Tatarstan petrochemical industry.
On 26 May 2016, OAO Zelenodolsk Shipyard has seen an official ceremony of Gepard-3.9 frigate floating. This is the second ship of the second order destined for the Naval Forces of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov addressing the gathered people said that the plant nowadays significantly contributes to the development of industry of the republic and Russia. Then the Head of the Ministry thanked the plant workers for their hard work and dedication.
During the event, the best workers of the plant who had made a significant contribution to the development of shipbuilding were awarded.
On 26 May 2016, the Neftekhimik Ice Palace in Nizhnekamsk will see an official celebration of the Chemist's Day.
The celebration will be attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Head of Nizhnekamsk Municipal District Aydar Metshin, federal officials, top executives and long-service employees of Tatarstan petrochemical industry enterprises, top executives of petrochemical enterprises of CIS countries, lecturers and students of the Kazan State Technological University, Kazan Federal University, Nizhnekamsk Institute of Chemical Technology, and pupils. The total number of participants hits 4000 people.
The Head of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade notes that enterprises of chemical and petrochemical industries contribute significantly to the solution of social problems of the region. At the enterprises of chemical and petrochemical industries of Tatarstan high-performance workstations are created. The industry employs over 50 thousand employees.
