On 2 June 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov took part in the meeting between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Prime Minister of Saxony (Germany) Stanislaw Tillich. The meeting was held within the framework of the working visit of the Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov to Dresden.

In the course of the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov and Stanislaw Tillich discussed the issues of further development of cooperation and its strengthening.

On 2 June 2016, Dresden has seen the Saxony-Tatarstan Economic Forum with the participation of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. The participants of the Forum were welcomed by Stefan Brangs, State Secretary of the Saxon State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Labour, and Transport.

The industrial potential of Tatarstan was presented by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov.

At the end of the Forum, the parties signed the Agreement on establishment of the Tatarstan-German Engineering Centre in the field of energy efficiency and environmental security between the Kazan State Power Engineering University and SARAD GmbH.

On 2 June 2016, within the working visit to Dresden, the delegation from the Republic of Tatarstan headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov made a tour of the Fraunhofer Institute for Material and Beam Technology (Fraunhofer IWS).

Within the visit, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Kazan State Technical University and the Fraunhofer Institute (Fraunhofer IWS). Particularly, parties are willing to expand cooperation between Fraunhofer IWS and the Kazan State Technical University in the field of laser technologies.

In the presence of Rustam Minnikhanov, the document was signed by representatives of the Kazan State Technical University and the Fraunhofer Institute. The delegates made a tour of the Fraunhofer Institute during which they visited some laboratories, including the laser centre, and other facilities.

On 2 June 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov being a part of the Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited a number of innovative industrial companies in Dresden.

Rustam Minnikhanov and delegates accompanying him made a tour of workshops and laboratories of EAST-4D Carbon Technology GmbH. The company is engaged in the development, engineering, design, and manufacturing of products from fibrous composite materials using 4D technologies.

The Tatarstan delegation attended Micromat GmbH, which is engaged in the creation of technologies and production of machine tools for high-precision cutting.

On 2 June 2016, Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers hosted the working meeting between Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov and delegates of the German-based Bosch headed by its President Robert Mulatz. Bosch Security Systems offers innovative services in information security around the world.

During the meeting, Ildar Khalikov told about close cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and the Federal Republic of Germany and noted that Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov is now having a business trip to Dresden. Later he made a presentation of innovative opportunities for Bosch company in the Republic of Tatarstan at SEZ Innopolis, SEZ Alabuga, KIP Master, etc. that to date attract hi-tech foreign companies to open their offices there.

The Head of the Republic of Tatarstan expressed his hope that foreign trade between the parties will in due time reach the former level and achieve better results.

Since 17 June 2016, Aeroflot will carry out regular non-stop flights twice a week (Mondays and Fridays) from the Kazan Airport to Frankfurt.

The departure from Kazan will be at 9.45 and the arrival at 13.45. The flight back from Frankfurt will be at 14.20 and the arrival to Kazan at 19.20. The economy class roundtrip ticket will cost RUB 25,000 and RUB 60-70 RUB for the business class.

From 1 to 3 June 2016, the Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov is visiting the Federal Republic of Germany with its working visit. The Tatarstan delegation comprises Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, heads of Tatarstan ministries and agencies, and representatives of Tatarstan enterprises and educational institutions.

Within the three-day working visit, Tatarstan delegation is visiting Saxony and Thuringia.

On 1 June 2016, Dresden has seen an official event dedicated to the 130th anniversary of Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukai.

On 3 June 2016, Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President will meet German partners in Thuringia.

On 1 June 2016, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov chaired a meeting of the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers in the videoconference format.

The meeting was attended by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, heads of ministries and agencies of the republic, territorial authorities, heads of executive committees and municipalities, and top executives of enterprises and organisations of the republic .

During the meeting of the Tatarstan Government, the participants discussed the activity results of organisations of fuel, energy, housing and public utility sectors in Tatarstan during the 2015-2016 heating season, as well as tasks for the coming heating season.

In order to support the implementation of projects aimed at energy efficiency and energy saving promotion, within the 5th International Forum on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving ENES-2016, the Russian Ministry of Energy holds the 3rd All-Russian Contest of Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving Enhancement Projects ENES-2016 and the 2nd All-Russian Contest of Media and Press Services of Energy and Regional Administration Companies.

The organiser and the competent authority on holding the regional stage of the contests is the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov emphasised that the policies of energy saving and energy efficiency are the part of the strategy of the social and economic development of Tatarstan.

O 31 May 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov took part in the meeting between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Harvard Business School alumni. Thirteen successful young men from various countries including Russia met Tatarstan executives.

In the Harvard Business School, there have studied and are studying more than 200 Russians who would like to come to Kazan, said Harvard graduates to Rustam Minnikhanov.
