On 31 October 2016, during the meeting with Acting Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Kazan Cheng Wei, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov stated that leaders of Tatarstan hail the decision of the People’s Republic of China to open the Consulate of the People’s Republic of China in Kazan. It shows that leaders of the People’s Republic of China pay a great attention to bilateral cooperation with the Republic of Tatarstan, said Ildar Khalikov. He emphasised that the number of economic and politic contacts between the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Tatarstan has considerably increased during last years.

On 29 October 2016, an official closing ceremony of the 1st Composite Battle World Cup Kazan-2016 and awarding ceremony of the winners of international contest were held.

The official ceremony was attended by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Chairman of the Committee for Economy, Investments and Entrepreneurship under the Tatarstan State Council Rafis Burganov, Principal of Kazan National Research Technical University Albert Gilmutdinov, Director of Interbranch Engineering Centre “New Materials, Composites and Nanotechnology” under Bauman Moscow State Technical University Vladimir Nelyub, participants and experts of Composite Battle World Cup Kazan-2016, representatives of Tatarstan and Russian industrial enterprises and educational institutions, and media representatives.

On behalf of the Tatarstan Government Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov congratulated participants and organisers with the completion of the contest and bestowed awards to the winner of the international stage of Composite Battle World Cup Kazan: GIPAR team from Kazan National Research Technical University.

On 27 October 2016, the meeting of the Council on Quality Awards of the Tatarstan Government was held under the chairmanship of Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov.

During the meeting of the Council in the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, parties discussed enterprises and organisations recommended to be awarded as prize and award winners of the Contest for Quality Awards of the Tatarstan Government.

On 27 October 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov participated in the meeting between Acting Tatarstan President Ildar Khalikov and delegates from Schneider Electric.

During the meeting, Ildar Khalikov noted that cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and Schneider Electric is going on for several years. The company’s office is operating in Kazan.

Later, an Agreement on cooperation between Schneider Electric and Kazan State Power Engineering University was signed in the presence of Acting Tatarstan President Ildar Khalikov.

During the meeting, parties discussed issues of import substitution, considered the progress of implementing projects of DoorHan in Tatarstan and promising areas for cooperation between the company and Tatarstan-based enterprises and organisations.

On 26 October 2016, Kazan hosted an official opening ceremony of the federal stage of the 1st Composite Battle World Cup Kazan-2016.

The official ceremony was attended by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Director of Interbranch Engineering Centre “New Materials, Composites and Nanotechnology” under Bauman Moscow State Technical University Vladimir Nelyub, Principal of Kazan National Research Technical University Albert Gilmutdinov, participants and members of the jury of Composite Battle World Cup Kazan-2016, and media representatives.

On 26 October 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov congratulated top executives and employees of Danaflex Group of Companies with the 15th Anniversary since the foundation of the company.

He noted that the company is fruitfully cooperates with major international companies, such as PepsiCo, Nestle, The Kraft Heinz Company, Mars, Unilever, Dirol, Wregley, Hochland, and other.

Albert Karimov bestowed governmental and departmental awards to best employees of the enterprise.

On 26 October 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov made tour of OOO UK KER-Holding.

During the meeting, top executives of the company and Albert Karimov discussed issues of implementing projects, as well as promising areas of activities of the enterprise. Albert Karimov also made tour of production sites of the company.

OOO UK KER-Holding is an engineering company engaged in implementation of turn-key projects in energy, petrochemicals, oil and gas sector, oil refining, and industrial enterprises.

The company is having an experience in working at facilities of Iraq, Cuba, Algeria, Bulgaria, Pakistan, Syria, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, and Russia.

On 25 October 2016, Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers hosted a briefing meeting on results of the visits by Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov to Belarus and Germany.

Within the visit to Belarus, Tatarstan delegation made a tour of Belarus-based enterprises, such as OAO Management Company of Belkommunash Holding, OAO Management Company of Minsk Motor Plant Holding, and High Technologies Park. During the meetings, parties discussed promising areas for bilateral cooperation.

On 19 October 2016, Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a working visit to Germany.

Within the K-2016 International Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber, a meeting was held between Tatarstan delegation and representatives of the business community of North Rhine-Westphalia. The meeting was attended by over 60 Germany-based companies. During the meeting, parties discussed promising areas for bilateral cooperation.
