On 7 November 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov participated in the meeting of the Supervisory Board of SEZ Alabuga. The meeting was chaired by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. During the meeting, participants approved projects of four new resident companies of SEZ Alabuga. The total volume of investments in new projects is RUB 1 billion.
Members of the Supervisory Board also supported projects of potential resident companies. After conclusion of agreements on holding industrial and production activities, companies will officially become the residents of the Special Economic Zone.
On 4 November 2016, the meeting of Russia 2018 republic’s organising committee was held under the chairmanship of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.

On 3 November 2016, Plenipotentiary Office of Tatarstan in Russia hosted the meeting between Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov with representatives of the business community from Guizhou Province.
During the meeting, Tatarstan Minister Albert Karimov made a presentation of Tatarstan industrial potential. He presented major petrochemical and mechanical engineering enterprises of the republic, such as Tatneft, TAIF, Kamaz, SP Ford Sollers, Kazan Helicopters, Gorbunov Kazan Aircraft Plant, Zelenodolsk Shipyard, YelAZ, Kazan Motor-Building Production Association, Kazankompressormash, etc. He also made presentation of their large-scale investment projects.
On 3 November 2016, Almetyevsk hosted the meeting under the chairmanship of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with top executives of small oil companies to summarize the results of activities of Tatarstan small oil companies within 9 months of 2016.
The meeting was attended by responsible employees from the Tatarstan Government and Staff of the Tatarstan President, territorial divisions of federal authorities, top executives of Tatneft and Tatarstan small oil companies.
According to top executives of ZAO Neftekonsortsium, small oil companies extracted 5,363,000 tonnes in 9 months of 2016, which is an increase by 66,000 tonnes (or by 1.25%) y-o-y.
On 2 November 2016, within the working visit to Cambodia, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, being a member of the Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, participated in a number of official meetings between Rustam Minnikhanov and leaders of Cambodia.
Phnom Penh hosted meetings of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen and Cambodian Minister of Public Works and Transport Sun Chanthol.
During the meeting with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, parties discussed further planned development of cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and the Kingdom of Cambodia.

During the forum, in the presence of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, bilateral agreements were signed between AO RariTEK Holding and Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd, AO RariTEK Holding and Russian representative office of CIMC ENRIC Holdings Limited.

The aim of the working visit is to attend the 18th China International Industry CIIF 2016. In 2016, for the first time in 18 years, the main Shanghai International Industry CIIF 2016 acquired a partner country; this status was assigned to the Russian Federation.
