From 9 to 11 November 2016, Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President is having a working visit to the USA.

The delegation, accompanying Tatarstan President, comprises Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Information and Communication Roman Shaykhutdinov, Aide to the Tatarstan President Radik Gimatdinov, Tatarstan Minister of Economy Artyom Zdunov, Chief Executive of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina, and others.

On 9 November 2016, within the working visit, Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited plants of Boing in Renton and Everett (Washington State), made tour of the enterprise and studied its state-of-the-art technologies in production processes. They also met with Tatar community in the USA.

On 10 November 2016, Tatarstan delegation will visit innovative companies, such as Advenira Enterprises, Inc., DCM Ventures, and SAP.

On 10 November 2016, the All-Russian Scientific and Applied Conference “Innovative Ways of Developing Life Support Systems under the Conditions of Current Challenges” was held in Kazan under the auspices of the Tatarstan Security Council. The organisers of the conference are Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade and AO Kazan Chemical Scientific and Research Institute.

The mission of the conference is revealing new prospects of developing R&D activities connected with integrated radiation, chemical and biological protection; implementing innovation approaches in establishing laboratory and testing facilities for research; determining ways for implementation of promising scientific developments in production practice.

A new multipurpose transport helicopter Mi-8MTV-1 manufactured by Kazan Helicopters, a part of Russian Helicopters Holding, was handed over to the disposal of Krasnoyarsk Aviation and Rescue Centre of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The helicopter transferred to the aircraft fleet of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations was manufactured by Kazan Helicopters by the order of the Siberian Regional Centre of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. The supply contract was signed in March 2016.

From 9 to 13 November 2016, METRO retail centres in Kazan are hosting “Days of Kazan Suppliers”. Within the days, promotion campaigns for goods from local manufacturers and tasting of products are organised. The mission of the “Days of Kazan Suppliers” is to develop partnership relations between the chain and local suppliers.

On 10 November 2016, METRO Cash and Carry trade centre in Kazan hosted the 9th official METRO Quality Award ceremony.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, Tatarstan Ministry of Agriculture and Food, and top executives of METRO Cash and Carry trade centre in Kazan.

On 9 November 2016, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov chaired the meeting of the Board of Directors of OAO Tatneftekhiminvestholding. During the meeting, Director General of OAO Tatneftekhiminvestholding Rafinat Yarullin, analysing results of activities of the petrochemical sector from January to September 2016, noted that the production volumes in petrochemical sectors of both Tatarstan and Russian maintained the last year’s level, with shipped products worth RUB 834.5 billion.

On 8 November 2016, an agreement on cooperation in energy sector was signed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Chairman of the Board at PAO Inter RAO Boris Kovalchuk.

The agreement specifies key areas for mutually beneficial cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and PAO Inter RAO, including issues of joint activities in forward planning of energy and industry development in Tatarstan; consideration of opportunities for implementing investment and innovation projects in the republic; and energy saving and energy efficiency at enterprises of the republic.

PAO Kamaz and PAO NK Rosneft made an agreement on partnership in supply of petrochemicals. The agreement foresees cooperation between parties in the development, testing and implementation of lubricants and petrochemicals at production facilities of KamAZ plant. Supply of petrochemicals can be carried out by OOO RN-Smazochnye Materialy, a specialised subsidiary of Rosneft.

On 8 November 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov had a meeting with top executives of France-based Exotest.

The company owns laboratory equipment that allows holding additional light ageing tests, climate and corrosion tests, abrasion and friction resistance tests, endurance tests, and vibration tests.

During the meeting, parties discussed an opportunity to create an independent test centre in Tatarstan in the sphere of automotive industry.

On 7 November 2016, at the territory of Kazanskaya Yarmarka, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov bestowed awards to the best republic’s engineers for quality and standardisation.

The winners are experts in standardisation from 7 republic’s enterprises and in metrology, from 12 republic’s enterprises.

Laboratories of 9 enterprises became the winners in the contest among testing laboratories; 7 theses of graduates from two universities got prises as well.

On 7 November 2016, SEZ Alabuga hosted an official ceremony dedicated to the start of construction of two new plants: IGS Agro and August-Alabuga. The event was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Head of Yelabuga District Gennady Yemelianov, Director General of AO SEZ Alabuga Timur Shagivaleyev, representatives of republic’s ministries and agencies.
