16 September 2021, Thursday

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov had a videoconference meeting today with Khurram Teshabaev, Deputy Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current situation, problematic issues, as well as prospects for bilateral cooperation in oil and gas, mechanical engineering, investment, transport and logistics, and other areas.

Current projects include an industrial park to be established in the Tashkent region jointly with Himgrad. This year, the project received a new impetus thanks to the support of the leaders of Uzbekistan and Tatarstan.

POZIS is interested in further expansion of supplies of medical equipment to Uzbekistan, including refrigeration equipment for storage of coronavirus vaccines and medical devices designed for disinfection of indoor air.

Since 2017, Eidos-Medicine has been working on the implementation of projects to establish simulation centres at higher medical institutions in Uzbekistan. To date, a pilot project on the basis of the Tashkent Paediatric Institute is being developed.

The parties agreed to continue further work on all above projects and areas of cooperation, as well as to consider the opportunity of organising the next summit event in the near future.
