Prospects for cooperation with the Republic of Kenya were discussed today at a meeting between Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Marat Minibayev and a delegation from the Republic of Kenya headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kenya to the Russian Federation Benson Henry Ouma Ogutu.
The meeting took place at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan. It was also attended by Deputy Head of Mission Amb. Joshua M. Mugodo, Consul General Mr. Maurice O.A. Okoth, Minister Counsellor Mrs. Winnie Mwanjala and others.
The parties discussed issues related to boosting trade and economic cooperation, as well as prospects for implementing joint projects.
During the meeting, Marat Minibaev expressed his gratitude to the Republic of Kenya for the interest in developing cooperation with Tatarstan and made a presentation of the republic’s industrial potential, spoke about the current status and prospects of bilateral cooperation in industrial cooperation, in particular in the development of energy cooperation between Tatarstan and the Republic of Kenya.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue joint work to expand cooperation and provide mutual support in all areas of partnership.
