23 June 2021, Wednesday

On June 22, the Kazan Motor-Building Production Association took part in the Lights of Victory Ceremony timed to the 80th anniversary from the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. The event took place in all Russia’s Hero Cities, Cities of Military Glory, and Cities of Labour Valour.

Spotlights were directed into the sky above the factory. This way the engine builders, as well as participants of the event from other regions of Russia, honoured the memory of all those who gave their lives in the fight for the Victory.

During the war, the Kazan Motor-Building Plant was considered to be one of the main engine-building workshops in the country. For its contribution to the victory over the Nazi invaders in 1945, the Kazan Motor Plant No. 16 was awarded the Order of Lenin.
