Today, Kazan saw the start of Phase Three of the social project aimed at introducing the Mechatronics dual study programme in educational institutions. It is being implemented in the region by Ford Sollers with the support from the Ministry of Education and Science of Tatarstan and the Ford Motor Company Fund.
The project was launched in December 2017. Within first two phases in 2017 and 2018, teachers from leading educational organisations of Tatarstan completed three-day trainings on the dual education system, improved their qualifications by studying at the Festo hi-tech training centre in Moscow, and developed their programmes for Mechatronics speciality.
Project’s Phase Three (October 30 to December 4) will be devoted to a practice-oriented approach in the vocational education system and mentoring at enterprises. At the project finals in December 2019, participants will be awarded advanced training diplomas and a certificate for the purchase of mechatronics equipment to one of the best vocational education institutions.
Mechatronics is a job of the future and is highly demanded in the context of growing production automation and robotics. The Russian Ministry of Labour and Social Protection has included it to the list of the 50 most sought-after new and promising jobs in the labour market, requiring secondary vocational education.
