Kazan hosted Tatarstan-Slovakia business forum

These days, Kazan is hosting the extended delegation of the Slovak Republic. This is the first visit of a Slovak business delegation to Tatarstan.

As part of their business programme, the first Tatarstan-Slovak business forum was held at the Korston Hotel & Mall on July 3, 2019. The forum was attended by Chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Chairman of the State Committee of Tatarstan for Tourism Sergey Ivanov, Chairman of the Union of Tatarstan Chambers of Commerce and Industry Shamil Ageyev, and other officials. The delegation from Slovakia headed by Speaker of the National Council Andrej Danko included Slovak parliamentarians, heads of republic’s industrial enterprises, representatives of business community, and the media.

In the first part of the forum, guests were offered presentations of the investment and tourism potential in Tatarstan.

“At this stage, the intersection of interests between Tatarstan and Slovakia is in the oil, construction, and tourism industries," said Daniel Duchoň, Head of the Trade and Economic Department of the Slovak Embassy in Moscow.

The second part of the forum dealt with B2B meetings between representatives of Slovak and Tatarstan companies.
