Workshop meeting on energy efficiency

On the premises of the Kazan State Power Engineering University, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan organised a workshop meeting on the development of energy saving and energy efficiency programmes by public sector organisations in Tatarstan. The meeting was attended by employees of executive authorities and local self-government bodies of Tatarstan.

In her speech, Head of Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency Dept. at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Yevgenia Katkova said: “The lack of an approved energy saving programme for a municipal entity, an executive authority, or a government or municipal agency leads to violation of current legislation and the imposition of appropriate administrative fines. The availability of an energy saving programme is verified by relevant supervisory authorities that monitor the implementation of energy saving legislation; also, the monitoring for programme updates is carried out by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan. In addition, data on energy conservation programmes should be entered into the State Energy Efficiency Information System, as well as published on the official websites of municipalities, government bodies, and public sector institutions”.

Head of the Energy Efficiency Analysis and Forecasting Dept. at the Tatarstan Centre for Energy Saving Technologies under the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers Yekaterina Boroday described in detail the development and updating of energy saving and energy efficiency programmes for government / municipal institutions.

Minnikhanov: some 120,000 work in our mechanical engineering sector today

There are more than 3,000 mechanical engineering enterprises employing about 120,000 people in the republic today. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said this today in Naberezhnye Chelny at a ceremony dedicated to the Mechanical Engineer’s Day. Before the official ceremony, the President toured an exhibition of products manufactured by Tatarstan’s mechanical engineering companies. The exhibition displayed trucks, buses, tractors, electric cars, charging stations, gas turbine power plants, medical equipment, etc. Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated the industry workers on their professional holiday and stressed that despite all the difficulties, this year there has been a dynamic growth in the indicators of the enterprises. During the first seven months of 2021, products worth RUB 408 billion were shipped, which is 1.5 times higher than in 2019. Positive changes are shown both by large companies and midsize enterprises in small towns. The Tatarstan President also expressed gratitude to long-service workers of the sector, noting that many companies employ several generations of working families. Then, President Minnikhanov presented a number of Tatarstan awards for great contribution to the development of the mechanical engineering sector.

Minister Karimov met with students of KNRTU-KHTI

Today, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov held an open meeting with students of the Kazan National Research Technological University. During the event, Minister Karimov delivered a comprehensive speech on the topic “Tatarstan’s Manufacturing Industry as the Main Driver of Regional Economic Development”, during which he outlined the main achievements of industrial sectors in Tatarstan and spoke about the main achievements and trends in the republic’s manufacturing industry development. In his welcome address he pointed out that the main source of labour productivity is the transition to Industry 4.0, the industrial revolution based on massive implementation of information technologies. Today, a marking system is applied in production facilities that allows one to track the location of a product. There are examples of smart factories where machines communicate with each other via the internet and produce personalised products without human intervention.
