On November 11, the Kazan Bread-Baking Plant summed up the implementation of the pilot project entitled “Optimisation of the Chak-Chak Production”.

Within the framework of the project, 20 company’s employees have been trained in lean manufacturing tools under the guidance of experts from the Regional Centre of Competence in Tatarstan.

In the production stream, the project team introduced lean manufacturing tools and created model production sections.

As a result of the project, the process time was reduced more than twofold, stocks of finished products in the workshop were cut by 1.5 times, and the output was increased by 12%. Optimised production flow has become exemplary for the entire enterprise.

The company has also opened additional projects that will be implemented independently by working teams of the Kazan Bread-Baking Plant.

The construction of a state-of-the-art logistics hub for the shipment, storage, and transportation of household appliances is underway on the basis of the POZIS company (part of the Techmash Concern of Rostec Corporation).

The construction is carried out within the framework of the investment programme approved by the Rostec Corporation for the comprehensive development of the production of household appliances and medical refrigeration equipment based on POZIS.

Renovation of buildings is also expected for the manufacture of refrigeration equipment, given an increase in its production output by 40%.

The total area of ​​the logistics hub will be more than 15,000 square metres. This will allow the company to create an advanced warehouse complex with a capacity of up to 35,000 units of household appliances.

A separate stage in the creation of the logistics hub will be the introduction of WMS, a warehouse management system designed to automate warehouse inventory control and optimise all business processes.

In the Zelenodolsk Industrial Park, construction was launched of the Ozon Group’s logistics hub and the warehouse complex of Wildberries.

Ozon’s logistics hub is scheduled to open next year. The facility will create opportunities for storage and processing of 7 million goods. After its launch, residents of Kazan and other republic’s settlements will be able to use fast delivery, while local manufacturers can sell their products throughout Russia and abroad.

The first phase of the Wildberries’ warehouse complex is getting ready for launch in the first half of 2020. The total area of ​​the new complex will be about 100,000 square metres, the total investment in the project is RUB 5.5 billion. In addition, there will be more than 4,000 new jobs in Tatarstan.

Another important event in the territory of the Zelenodolsk Industrial Park was the opening of a new distribution centre intended for the X5 Retail Group. The capacities of the new centre make it possible to handle up to 5,000 tonnes of cargoes a day and serve 1,200 trade outlets. The centre will provide products for stores both in Tatarstan and in Udmurtia, Mari El, and Chuvashia.

The opening ceremonies were attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Head of the Zelenodolsk District Executive Committee Mikhail Afanasyev, and others.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan hosted a meeting with representatives from republic’s enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex. The meeting was held by Minister Albert Karimov.

The main issue on the agenda was the current progress of the State defence orders being implemented by enterprises in Tatarstan.

In the course of the meeting, the Minister also spoke about the existing measures to support industrial enterprises. In this context, within the framework of the Labour Productivity and Employment Support national project, cooperation agreements were signed with a number of companies in Tatarstan.

Within another national project, International Cooperation and Exports, State support has been granted to exporting companies that are implementing corporate competitiveness improvement programmes (CCIP).

Enterprises are subsidised up to 4.5% per annum of the bank’s commercial rate on financing projects for the creation of Russia’s production facilities abroad and projects for the establishment of export-oriented businesses in Russia.

At the end of October this year, the winners of the National Award in the field of protocol, image, and etiquette were decided in Moscow within the framework of the 5th Protocol Service International Forum.

A total of 45 protocol services from all over Russia took part in 15 award categories. The Official Protocol at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan won a prize in the category of Developing and Strengthening International Relations.

The award was established in 2011 by the National Association of Specialists in Protocol (NASP) with the aim of developing professional standards and the quality of protocol practice, improving the level of business culture, recognising sectoral leaders by the public, and helping to unite the community of professionals.

The jury consisted of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia, NASP President Vladimir Shevchenko and Chairman of the Heraldic Council under the Russian President and State Herald Master Georgy Vilinbakhov.

Hayat Russia (a subsidiary of Hayat Kimya, a global player in the FMCG industry) introduced a second paper machine in its Russian factory located in the Alabuga Special Economic Zone in Tatarstan. Additional equipment resulted in increase of its annual output up to 140,000 tonnes. The ceremony was attended by SEZ Alabuga representatives and Director General of Hayat Russia Çetin Murat.

Having introduced a new paper machine at its factory, the company doubled its output and became the Russia’s largest producer of sanitary and hygiene products from primary cellulose. Since 2015, the volume of the Hayat Russia investment in its enterprise in the territory of Tatarstan amounted to RUB 11.7 billion.

The company currently employs more than 800 people from Russia. By 2018, the net proceeds of Hayat Russia from its sales amounted to RUB 8.7 billion. At its world-class production complex with an area of ​​73,000 square metres, the company manufactures sanitary products for the Russian market: toilet paper, towels, napkins, and handkerchiefs. The products made by the plant are represented in 83,000 distribution points throughout Russia, with 8% of its products being exported to Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Estonia, and Latvia.

Hayat Russia plant in Alabuga is an innovative space operating on the basis of fully automated and advanced resource-saving systems.

Today on November 7, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, jointly with representatives of Rostekhnadzor, the Ministry of Emergencies, and the Prosecutor’s Office, visited the Kazan Synthetic Rubber Plant in order to see the progress in resuming production process for the State defence order.

During the tour of the plant, the main workshops were visited. Minister Karimov inspected the repair process. On November 5, butadiene was supplied from Nizhnekamskneftekhim, the supply of vinylidene chloride is expected by the end of next week. The plant will be fully supplied with feedstock.

At the moment, preparatory work for the start of production is underway. Steam is supplied to the enterprise as for a normal operation mode.

The first shipment of products for the State defence order is tentatively scheduled for late November of this year.

The introduction of digital technologies in the most important sector of the country’s economy was discussed at the 14th All-Russian Open Youth Applied Science Conference entitled “Dispatching and Management in the Electric Power Industry”.

The mission of the Conference is to attract talented and creative students, undergraduates, graduate students, and young scientists to tackle practical problems of present-day power industry.

Of the 157 applications received by the organising committee, 97 papers were selected for presentations in sections. Participants’ reports were devoted to the operational reliability of energy systems and power plants.

The forum was attended by representatives of the System Operator and the Federal Grid Company of the Unified Energy System, the Grid Company of Tatarstan, academic institutions, as well as scientists and students from various cities of Russia: Moscow, Samara, Tyumen, Cheboksary, Novosibirsk, Pyatigorsk, Magnitogorsk, Ufa, Bryansk, Ulyanovsk, Sevastopol, and others.

Dispatching includes the development of grid construction and generation, and other related industries. Experts in dispatching are not trained by any other higher education establishment except KSPEU. This forum allows discussing urgent topics at the intersection of disciplines.

POZIS (part of the Techmash Concern of Rostec Corporation) received subsidies of RUB 3.3 million within the framework of the national project entitled “Labour Productivity and Employment Support”.

The company signed an agreement with the Zelenodolsk Employment Centre on the provision of subsidies from the budget for training its personnel.

The enterprise has got this opportunity thanks to its participation in the Labour productivity and Employment Support project.

POZIS is one of the few enterprises in Russia with its own training centre, the resources of which can be used to implement this project. For example, by adapting training programmes for its production process.

According to the programme, every company’s employee has an opportunity to undergo training if it helps support the employment of workers and increase labour productivity.

In addition, some State support measures are envisaged for the participating enterprise under the project terms: to attract, free of charge, advanced experts from the Federal Competence Centre for Labour Productivity.

Experts of the Kazan Helicopters (Russian Helicopters holding), as part of the Rostec Corporation team, won silver medals at the 6th National Competition of High-Tech Cross-Industry Skills 2019. Competitions were held in Yekaterinburg from October 28 to November 1.

A total of 21 Kazan Helicopters employees took part in the Competition in three skills, winning silver medals in two of them, in Composites Technology and Life Cycle Management skills.

Before the national competition, participants and experts included in the main team of the Rostec Corporation underwent training as part of the Rostec Academy team-training event, which took place in September in the Moscow Region. The programme included educational blocks on informed leadership, effective interaction, and stress resistance, as well as training on work standards and technologies for achieving success at the WorldSkills competitions.

In total, Rostec team members won 39 medals, of which 15 golds, 11 silvers and 10 bronzes, in the main standings of the 6th National Competition of High-Tech Cross-Industry Skills 2019. Rostec experts received another 3 awards following the results of the competitions in the Eurasian standings of the WorldSkills Hi-Tech 2019.
