Russian cosmonauts Aleksandr Skvortsov and Oleg Skrypochka, flying in the International Space Station (ISS), recorded a video message to members of the Russian Vacuum Society named after Academician Sergey A. Vekshinsky, employees of Vacuummash, members of scientific and educational organisations associated with the vacuum industry, congratulating them with the centenary of the electric vacuum industry in Russia, which will be celebrated in 2020.
“We wish you every success in all areas of your activities, and specifically in expanding cooperation in the field of science and technology with enterprises in the rocket and space industry!”, with these words the cosmonauts completed their appeal.

Today on January 28, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan hosted a meeting between Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Almaz Khusainov and the three 2019 finalists of the Vverkh! Contest, Dmitry Ivanov, Kirill Shevchenko, and Elena Bagaeva. The event was attended by Contest Director Alla Kondratieva. Within the framework of the meeting, plans for further cooperation between the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Youth Government of Tatarstan were discussed; the finalists of the Vverkh! Contest also presented socially significant projects “Give a Smile to a Friend” and “Accessible Practices”.
The Republic’s contest of young leaders entitled “Vverkh!” (Up!) has been running since 2009. In 2019, a total of 350 applicants from 21 municipalities of Tatarstan applied for participation in it. The contest is aimed at creating a mechanism for preparing and training management personnel for state and local government bodies, institutions and organisations, and youth public associations of Tatarstan. Forty-two participants became its finalists.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan reports that Tatarstan Law No. 106‑ZRT of December 24, 2019 “On Prohibition of Sales to Minors of Non-Smoking Nicotine-Containing Products, Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems in Tatarstan and Amendments into Certain Legislative Acts of Tatarstan” was adopted and entered into force in the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan.
As a result, the Republic of Tatarstan has prohibited the sales of tobacco products, sucking tobacco (snus), naswar, as well as non-tobacco nicotine-containing products, electronic nicotine delivery systems (vapes) to minors.
The Tatarstan Office of the Federal Service for Supervision over Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare operates a hotline, by calling which one can inform the Service about a retail outlet where non-smoking nicotine-containing products are sold and the rules for their sales are violated.

Today, on January 16, the first meeting of the working group for interaction of Tatarstan enterprises with the China-headquartered Kunlun Red Star Energy Group was held at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, which was attended by representatives of Tatneft, Nizhnekamskneftekhim, Kazanorgsintez, Tatenergo, and others. The meeting discussed promising areas of cooperation in the field of oil production, petrochemicals, and energy.
Today, on January 15 in Moscow, Chairman of the AO Ammoni Board of Directors, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov held an extraordinary meeting of shareholders. Within the framework of an action programme agreed upon with the main creditor (Vnesheconombank) and a potential investor to further improve financial activities and keep company’s facilities in operation, the shareholders unanimously voted to confirm Dmitry Makarov as Director General of the company.
Dmitry Makarov was born in 1972. He has experience in managing mineral fertiliser production enterprises, with a prior position as Deputy Director General for Development of KAO Azot.
The Tatneft’s Trade and Procurement Platform was established in 2010 as an electronic bidding operator and now consolidates Tatneft Group enterprises, small oil companies of Tatarstan’s ZAO Neftekonsortsium, service companies of Tagras-Holding, and contracting organisations into an integrated procurement system. The participants of the Tatneft’s TPP represent a wide range of oil and gas industry goods producers and dealers, currently numbered over 44,000.
In 2019, the maximum number of bids received for chemical products tender was 57 commercial proposals, while the total number of competitive bids received in the last year amounted to 59,000. The Tatneft’s TTP operators have conducted more than 117,000 electronic trading procedures in 10 years for more than 150 buyer organisations, while the trade turnover exceeded the amount of RUB 460 billion.
Since 2012, the Tatneft’s TPP has been operating in English. Today, it is the only free-of-charge site for participation in competitive bidding procedures in the Russian Federation. The platform covers key processes of various companies, including procurement transactions, search for contractors, implementation, TPP’s base, history of interaction with contractors and the personal cabinet of audit services.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan hosted a meeting to review the draft concept of the International Medical Cluster of Tatarstan.
The implementation of such a project involves the creation of a clinical and educational research platform where innovative medical technologies will be introduced.
A medical cluster in Tatarstan is expected to expand access to the world’s best innovative practices in education, science, and medical services, which would employ the republic’s potential.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister Aleksey Savelchev with the participation of Principal of Kazan (Volga) Federal University Ilshat Gafurov, First Deputy Minister of Health of Tatarstan Almir Abashev, representatives of PharmMedPolis of Tatarstan, and others.
Enterprises participating in the Labour Productivity and Employment Support national project will be given an opportunity to take part in the Best Mentoring Practices in Tatarstan 2019 contest.
The contest’s goal is to identify and disseminate the best practical experience of mentoring in order to increase labour productivity, recognise and encourage mentors who have made a significant contribution to the development of mentoring and the replication of effective mentoring practices in Tatarstan.
The contest is held in the following categories: Mentoring in Increasing Labour Productivity; Mentoring in Professional Self-Determination; Mentoring in Professional Development of Youth; and Mentoring in Breakthrough Technologies.
To take part in the contest, one should send an application and consent to personal data processing to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan before January 17, 2020.
