At the beginning of this year, during the visit of the KSPEU official delegation headed by its Principal Eduard Abdullazyanov, an agreement on scientific and educational cooperation was signed with the Technical University of Ilmenau.
The agreement provides for internships of KSPEU’s students and teachers at the TU Ilmenau and writing Ph.D. theses under dual supervision with online defence; industrial practice by KSPEU students under dual supervision at Thuringian companies; joint research in the field of the electric power industry digitalisation with attraction of funds from Russian, German, and foreign sources.
This year, the University is preparing documents for participation in the Algarysh grant programme by inviting professors Heiner Dinter and Hanness Topfer to deliver lectures and develop training courses on digitalisation of economic sectors, as well as for KSPEU graduate and post-graduate students to undertake internships at TU Ilmenau in digitalisation of the economy (energy sector) in 2021-2022.
An agreement has been reached with EBZ and TEAG to develop courses in robotics and mechatronics for teachers and students of KSPEU. Arrival of leading German teachers to KSPEU is also scheduled. The University will send a group of teachers for an internship at EBZ in electrical works, which are included in the WorldSkills list.
On September 16 and 17, a Russian business mission of entrepreneurs and representatives of government agencies headed by Chairman of the VEB.RF State Development Corporation Igor Shuvalov paid a working visit to Uzbekistan.
On September 17 in Tashkent, the International Business Centre hosted a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov and Chairman of VEB.RF Corporation Igor Shuvalov.
The parties noted the high level of strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Russia and expressed their commitment to the further development of economic and investment cooperation by intensifying bilateral contacts at various levels.

The Director General of KAMAZ spoke at the round table about the results of activities in 2020, noting that despite the fall in global truck market sales, KAMAZ not only survived, but after six months was able to increase sales compared to last year. On the Russian market, the growth was 4%; on export markets, 37%.
Today, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov held a meeting on the industrialisation of the Aurus project.
The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the schedule for launching the production of Aurus luxury cars in Yelabuga.
The discussion was attended by top executives from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Alabuga SEZ IPT, OOO Aurus, and JV Ford Sollers.
OOO Aurus is a company established with the participation of FSUE NAMI, Tawazun (United Arab Emirates), and Sollers.
The facilities for the production of Aurus luxury cars are planned to be organised on the territory of the Alabuga SEZ IPT.
At the moment, equipment for welding, painting, and assembly are being prepared. In parallel, a recruitment of specialists is underway with their further retraining.
As Director General of Aurus Adil Shirinov said, the first Aurus Senat of the Yelabuga assembly will be prepared for shipment to customers in May 2021.

The main customers of its products are the GAZ Group, KAMAZ, NEFAZ, AVTOVAZ, RariTEK Holding, and Mosgortrans.
The key to success of the METTEM Transport Group is its design office. Their developments are of the highest quality, comparable to foreign counterparts, although they are made using domestic technologies, raw materials, and supplies.
In the meantime, the parties stressed their interest in cooperation and implementation of an investment plan for creating strategically important industrial developments and encouraging production growth with all available State support instruments.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan regretfully announces that, after a past illness, Director General of the Zelenodolsk Plant named after A.M. Gorky Aleksandr Karpov passed away yesterday, on September 16, 2020.
When heading the Zelenodolsk Shipyard, Aleksandr Karpov made a great contribution to the development of the republic’s shipbuilding sector.
Being a man who is whole-heartedly supporting the cause, he gave all his strength, knowledge, and rich experience to tackling the most important production and social issues. With his active participation, numerous programmes for the retrofitting and upgrading of workshops were developed and implemented, promising projects of warships and civil vessels were mastered and built. He also largely contributed to the development of social programmes aimed at helping and supporting current and retired employees of the company.
The memories of him will forever remain in our hearts as of a wonderful person, a wise leader, whom everyone appreciated and respected for his high professionalism, vitality, and optimism.

Today, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov had a videoconference meeting with Minister of Economy, Science and the Digital Society of Thuringia Wolfgang Tiefensee. This meeting took place within the framework of the annual session of the Tatarstan-Thuringia Joint Working Group. During the meeting, issues of interregional cooperation were considered in the field of education and personnel retraining, the results of joint activities were also discussed.
Active cooperation is underway between enterprises of Tatarstan and Thuringia; in particular, the German-Russian Mechanical Engineering Centre has been operating in the republic since 2016. From the moment of its opening, a large number of meetings have been held with enterprises of Tatarstan to create an atlas of the needs of enterprises, and this work continues to date.
The republic has also implemented the GRIAT educational project between Germany and Russia, opened in 2014 with the support from DAAD, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, and the Tatarstan Government.

In recent years, relations between Tatarstan and the People’s Republic of China have been successfully developing in various areas. Tatarstan’s foreign trade turnover with China amounted to about USD 564 million in 2019.
Many Tatarstan enterprises such as KAMAZ, Tatneft, Tatspirtprom, RariTEK Mechanical Repair Plant and others closely cooperate with their Chinese peers.
Among the large joint investment projects implemented in the republic is the Haier project for the production of washing machines, TV sets, refrigerators, freezing and other electric kitchen equipment.
During the meeting, the parties discussed promising areas of scientific, technology, and innovative cooperation, as well as the organisation of the Days of Heilongjiang Province in Tatarstan and the creation of a model of cooperation between industrial parks and special economic zones of the two regions.

The M-7 Industrial Park today is an up-to-date production site located on the borders of Kazan. The main profile of the Park is polymer processing as the most demanded industry in Tatarstan.
Albert Karimov studied the activities of Volzhanin, Multiplast, Stekloservis, MSP, and GP-Development, which are residents of this park.
OOO Volzhanin is a manufacturer of butt welding equipment for polyethylene pipes of all types and sizes.
OOO Multiplast is a specialised high-tech enterprise for manufacturing products from wood-polymer composite.
OOO Stekloservis is a company for production, processing, and engraving of glass and mirror products.
OOO MSP is engaged in specialised production and sales of furniture profiles and skirting boards made of MDF.
OOO GP-Development specialises in design and manufacture of lifting equipment.
On September 10, the ceremony of starting the construction of the Data Processing and Storage Centre took place via videoconference in the Innopolis Special Economic Zone. The ceremony was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Director General of Rosatom Corporation Aleksey Likhachev, Aide to the Tatarstan President Albert Nafigin, Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, and Tatarstan Minister of Economy Midhat Shagiakhmetov.
The project in the Innopolis SEZ is being implemented by the Rosenergoatom concern within the framework of a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Tatarstan Government and a programme for the development of a geo-distributed and disaster-resistant data centre network. The Innopolis Data Centre may become the largest one in the Volga Federal District. The cost of investment in the construction and engineering infrastructure of data centre’s Phase 1 will be about RUB 3 billion. The project will be implemented by Atomdata-Innopolis.
Today, the Innopolis SEZ hosts 105 residents, 21 partners, and 52 startups. Many development centres of major Russian corporations and branches of international companies have been opened here. A total of 3,600 jobs were created to date. SEZ residents and partners include Acronis, Yandex, Alfa-Bank, Schneider Electric, Magnit IT Lab, IT X5 Technologies, Open Mobile Platform, New Cloud Technologies, ICL Group, Sberbank of Russia, S7 TechLab, and the Russian Post. The residents and partners of the Innopolis SEZ have invested RUB 23.8 billion.
Albert Karimov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, visited OOO IPLAST. The company is a large enterprise for the production of industrial large-sized plastic containers and packaging and is one of the Top-10 processors of polymer raw materials in Tatarstan.
In 2019, IPLAST processed a total of 57,600 tonnes of polymer raw materials, of which 33,900 tonnes were produced in Tatarstan.
“Our enterprises that manufacture competitive products meeting the high demands of the world market and carry out intensive retrofitting, make it possible to maintain a high standard of living, both in the city and in the district”, said Minister Karimov during his address to the IPLAST employees.
