A regular meeting of the Board of Directors of Tatenergo chaired by Ildar Khalikov was held today via video conferencing. The meeting summed up the results of the current heating period.

In particular, it was noted that the preparations for this period ensured a stable power supply to businesses, social facilities, as well as the population in Tatarstan. The minimum temperature peaks were passed reliably and there were sufficient capacity reserves.

The number of accidents at the equipment of Tatenergo power plants decreased from 33 to 26 in the heating period of 2020-2021; the total damage rate of company’s heat networks decreased from 300 to 294 cases. At the same time, it should be noted that in Naberezhnye Chelny and Nizhnekamsk the number of ruptures increased; the overall reduction was made possible by the programme implemented in Kazan to switch over apartment buildings to individual heating substations.

Chairman of the Board of Directors Ildar Khalikov noted that the company successfully coped with the issues of heating period. “Today, we don’t have to rush things as we did years ago, the company now works as planned”, he said. But this does not mean stopping to seek for solutions to modernise the heating plants. Only modernisation would eventually preserve the principle of reasonable tariffs and make it possible to cut payments for heat resources consumed.
