Today, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade hosted a regular meeting of the Commission on Observance of Requirements to Professional Conduct of Public Civil Servants and Resolving of Conflicts of Interests.

The following issues were discussed at the meeting:

Notifying public civil servants about the performance of other paid work;

Results of the analysis of the statements on incomes, expenditures, property and property-related liabilities submitted by the public civil servants of the Ministry in 2020.

A number of innovative projects have been discussed today at a meeting of the Board of Directors of OAO Tatneftekhiminvest Holding. The meeting was chaired by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.

Director General of Cryomash-BZKM Kirill Lyats spoke about hydrogen technologies for all modes of transport, especially water and railway transport. Pyrolysis of natural and associated gas and utilisation of CO2 with the help of hydrogen are some of the potential areas for cooperation.

Deputy Director of Lokomotiv (Izhevsk) Platon Nagovitsyn talked about the development of closed cycle technologies, namely polyethylene terephthalate processing in Udmurtia. He suggested setting up turnkey PET recycling in Tatarstan.

The IT Recruiting School of Innopolis can train personnel for various businesses. This was the subject of a presentation by Vadim Galeev, Deputy Director General for Development and Resident Relations at Innopolis SEZ.

The Tatarstan Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals Forum will be held from August 31 to September 2, 2021, in Kazan, said Director General of Kazanskaya Yarmarka Lev Semyonov. Rustam Minnikhanov instructed to organise the forum at a high level.

During the meeting of the Board of Directors the issues of preparation for the Extraordinary General Meeting of Tatneftekhiminvest Holding shareholders were discussed in connection with the planned refusal of the company from public status.

An agreement of intent on the development of international container shipping was signed today between the Government of Tatarstan and Maersk Eastern Europe ApS.

The document was signed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Head of Maersk Eastern Europe ApS Zsolt Katona.

The signing ceremony took place during the meeting of Rustam Minnikhanov with Zsolt Katona.

The cooperation presupposes investments in the republic’s transport infrastructure, establishment of regular container routes between Tatarstan and Russia’s largest ports, connection of Tatarstan enterprises to Maersk’s global digital platforms for ordering and organising international shipments.

Maersk plans to launch regular container routes. It is expected that due to its significant economic potential and advantageous geographical location, Tatarstan can become an important centre for organising international container logistics in the Middle Volga region.

Sollers Ford has started production of tanker trucks based on the Ford Transit LCV. The vehicle has joined the ranks of customised special versions and has become the 150th in the range of modifications. Ford Transit tank truck is intended for the transportation and short-term storage of liquids.

It is based on an extra-long wheelbase chassis with a GVW of 4,700 kg. The vehicle is equipped with a 2.2-litre diesel engine rated at 155 hp with a torque of 385 Nm, manual 6-speed transmission, and rear-wheel drive.

The isothermal tank is designed to carry up to 2,000 litres of food liquid. The interior flask, as well as the exterior cladding material, is made of high-quality stainless steel. The flask is insulated to prevent liquid temperatures from changing by more than 2 degrees centigrade for a period of 10 hours if the liquid has an ambient temperature difference of 30 degrees Celsius. The maintenance platform is a slotted decking with a handrail and ladder at the rear end of the tank.

Ford Transit is available to order at any Transit Centre in Russia. Price of the vehicle starts from RUB 3,174,000 depending on the customer’s preferences.

Ford Transit is in demand in all areas of business, thanks to its quality, reliability, ease of maintenance and low cost of ownership, while the cost of vehicle maintenance is one of the lowest in the segment.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov had a meeting today with a delegation from the South African Ministry of Defence and Military Veterans headed by Minister Ms Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula.

The delegation of the RSA Ministry of Defence and Military Veterans is on a working visit to Tatarstan on June 26 to 29, 2021. During their stay, South African delegation visited KAMAZ and study the work and products of OOO Eidos-Medicine.

The main topic of today’s meeting was development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation between Tatarstan and RSA. Special attention in the discussion was given to the development of cooperation in the defence sectors of industry.

The meeting was attended by Director General of the Ak Bars Shipbuilding Corporation Renat Mistakhov, Managing Director of the Kazan Helicopters Aleksey Belykh, Director General of POZIS Radik Khasanov, Director General of the Kazan State-Owned Gunpowder Factory Aleksandr Livshits, and others.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed mutual interest in continuing close contacts, outlining optimal models of interaction in technological solutions for the near future.

Today, the AO Gorky Zelenodolsk Shipyard hosted the award ceremony of the best employees, the winners of labour competitions and the first company’s contest for the title of the Best Improvement Proposal 2021.

On this solemn occasion, the shipyard’s employees were congratulated on the Shipbuilder’s Day by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Ivan Kolchin, Head of Zelenodolsk Municipality and Mayor of Zelenodolsk Mikhail Afanasiev, Deputy Chairman of the Trade Unions Federation of Tatarstan Tatiana Vasilieva, Director General of Ak Bars Shipbuilding Corporation Renat Mistakhov, Director General of the Zelenodolsk Shipyard Aleksandr Filippov, Chairman of the Shipyard’s Trade Union Organisation Konstantin Kuzmenko and others.

The festive event ended with presenting awards to shipbuilders. The following were recognised for their achievements and contribution to the production performance: 30 employees (entered on the “Board of Honour”), 4 workshops of the company and 9 winners of the company-wide contest for the title of the Best Improvement Proposal 2021. The labour team of the plant was awarded the Certificate of Honour by the Trade Unions Federation of Tatarstan for active cooperation with trade unions in the development of social partnership and great contribution to solving socially important issues.

Shipbuilding is one of the key industries in Tatarstan and largely determines the industrial development vector of our region. The labour exploits of shipbuilders help to improve the social and transport infrastructure, promotes the renewal of the republic’s industrial base and make a significant contribution to ensuring the security and defence capability of our country.

On this festive occasion I would like to express our special gratitude to those who stood for decades at the very roots of the industry - our long-service employees who created the shipbuilding strength of Tatarstan. Your efforts have created a unique potential which gives us great opportunities for the implementation of new large-scale projects, many of which have already yielded tangible and promising results.

I would like to wish the current and retired employees of the industry strong health, well-being, inexhaustible energy, creative success. Thank you for your work, perseverance in achieving the set goals, professionalism and the will to win in the most challenging situations!

OOO EFCO Cosmetic, jointly with experts from the Regional Competence Centre of Tatarstan for Labour Productivity have implemented a pilot production stream within the framework of the Labour Productivity national project.

The company chose the production stream of solid toilet soap. Implementation of the Project was carried out in the following directions: Staff Training; Scope Definition; Change Management; Stream Optimisation.

Staff training included following topics: Lean Production Basics; Project Implementation Methodology; Mapping; Standardised Work; Problem Solving Methods; 5S in Production; Production Analysis; Scope Definition; and Effective InfoCentre.

Internal trainers were also trained and certified at the enterprise, who will further train the company’s employees in lean production tools.

As a result of the pilot project, EFCO Cosmetics increased production output at the stream by 22%; reduced work-in-progress by 10%; reduced process time by 14%; created a model stream, which will enable the company to qualify for a soft loan from the Industrial Development Fund of up to RUB 300 million.

The Republic of Tatarstan is among the top five regions for joining the dairy product marking in the Volga Federal District. There are 346 companies registered in the Chestny ZNAK system, including 65 producers from Tatarstan.

At present, 48 out of 83 companies and 17 out of 97 individual entrepreneurs of Tatarstan joined the marking system.

A total of 3,562 companies (producers, importers, as well as wholesalers and retailers) have joined the marking system in the Volga Federal District. Chelny Kholod, Chistaya Liniya, Factory of Real Ice Cream, Valio, and Hochland Rusland were among top five producers in terms of the number of marking codes put into circulation.

The Tatarstan Ministry of Agriculture and Food reminds that the second phase of marking will be launched on September 1 for dairy products with a shelf life of more than 40 days and on December 1 for products with a shelf life of less than 40 days. The withdrawal from circulation of dairy products with a shelf life of less than 40 days will begin in January 2022 and products with a shelf life of more than 40 days, in summer 2022. From September 1, 2022, volumetric-variety accounting will be introduced. For farmers, marking will become compulsory from December 1, 2022. Single-sector recording of dairy products will be introduced starting from December 1, 2023.

We would like to remind you that, on 30 June, applications for participation in the nationwide Exporter of the Year contest will close. The Exporter of the Year Award was established by the Russian Government to encourage organisations and individual entrepreneurs who have achieved exceptional results in export activities.

The Award winners will be determined in two stages. The winners of the first stage - at the level of each federal district - will be announced from August to September. Then, the winners of the federal contest will be selected from the first-place winners at the district level. The award ceremony for federal stage winners will take place in November at the Made in Russia International Export Forum with the participation of top government officials.

Export results for 2020 will be evaluated separately for SMEs and large businesses in six categories: “Exporter of the Year in Manufacturing Industry”, “Exporter of the Year in Agriculture”, “Exporter of the Year in Services”, “High-Tech Exporter of the Year”, and “Trader of the Year”. In addition, each applicant may apply for participation in the “Breakthrough of the Year” (for SMEs) or “New Geography” (for large businesses).

The contest is supported by VEB.RF, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, and the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, Communications, and Mass Media.
